a lot of issues with sonic frontiers that you mentioned like the snapping camera and a lack of dynamic movement amount to a lack of polish. to be clear, i agree with you- i love frontiers but i still have room to criticize. hoping they push for more emphasis on graphics/art direction myself since a lot of sonics charm comes from his unique look. cant bring myself to hate the tricks in frontiers since theyre crucial to speedrunning the first island, but i do like that 3d rush actively feeds back into gameplay since most (if not all) recent games treat tricking like an extra score bonus.

finally someone who actually pays attention and notices how garbage frontiers is. for people to claim this is "the best sonic game" and put it above unleashed and generations is diabolical. frontiers tries to be a discount breath of the wild and ends up looking an ureal engine fangame with a sonic that sounds like he's on anti-depressants , a story that claims to fix the sonic cannon by making everything fucking cannon and constantly referencing older games like it's the fucking MCU , characters that have been massacred like amy becoming a strong independent woman who doesn't love sonic , tails actually acknowledging the shitty writing of forces , knuckles acting hella gay with sonic , cutscene quality that rivals sonic omens , controls that said "fuck it , do it yourself" , straight up stealing gens , unleashed , and adventure stages in cyberspace , bosses that can be beaten by spamming one attack and holding the parry button for 2 days , and whatever the fuck they were trying to do with giving eggman an ai daughter.

Bruh first of all if you don’t like the controls then just fucking change the controls, secondly the camera bot having “flare” is fine and i don’t want me dying because sonic gone too fast and hit a enemy that I can’t see, thirdly your complaining that frontiers is the worse sonic game even though it’s not the worse one is that sonic boom game, fourth don’t talk shit about sonic X shadow generations if you didn’t play it yet, fifth you do know that not all sonic games are targeted to you right? I completely agree with the "stop caring about numbers' thing. Bro I see so many people give up on posting on youtube simply because they are not getting views right away. But like that's the whole point of starting out. You start by making bad videos that don't get any views, and then overtime you start to improve and figure out how to make better videos that actually have the potential to do well. There are certainly cases when people get like 100k on their first video but those cases are EXTREMELY rare and are the outlier. It took me about a year or so of posting on youtube before I even saw any kind of popularity at all. So yeah in conclusion don't care about the numbers right away, it always takes time to build a following, even for the biggest artists you know.
