Hello dear student ! Welcome to the fourth episode of my course The 12 Days of Christmas in English. Every day from December 25th to January 6th, I will be uploading videos to keep you on track with your English learning during the holidays. In this course you will learn about typical Christmas culture and traditions in the UK as well as intermediate to advanced vocabulary and grammar that you can use in many other everyday (and not so everyday) contexts. At the end of every video, there will be a quiz based on the structure of the Cambridge exams (FCE, CAE, CPE), so for anyone wishing to prepare for these exams, this course will also come in useful.
In this lesson, I will be sharing with you some of the best/worst Christmas jokes taken straight from Christmas crackers. Each joke is an example of word play and puns, where a word or expression contains double meaning. At the end of the video, there will be a quiz in the form of a key word transformation exercise based on the Cambridge exams.
