The lamb really did stop resisting less than she did at first. That means lambs really can be trained.

What would you say for a younger person who can't step over their lambs?

I walk my Katidin Sheep every day. Usually going for a 4 to 5 mile walk. I use a dog's halter rather than a choke collar. My sheep (Rambo) does like to stop a lot to sample the vegetation but I carry a pocket full of COB and have trained him to know that I will stop every so often and he'll get a treat. Works well. He's definitely a conversation starter. Our walks take us on the streets and through neighborhoods and through forested woodlands. I have pictures on my facebook page.

You do a nice job at starting your lambs! I bet you do good at your fair! Im for sure gonna use these training ways to start next years set of show lambs! Good job!:)
