Look I been in broadcasting 53 years. When I retired a friend Art Bell talked me into starting my internet show After six years it costed over one hundred thousand dollars. To get a huge listenership. And 13 hours a day 6 days a week! Do we make money not alot after paying employees and cost to feed to the apps and to radio stations.. Most podcast only have a few hundred listenership. It took over 6 years to get near a million listeners. Do it for the fun of it!

I went a somewhat unconventional route to start my Internet radio station. I run it on Mixcloud, and they take care of the rights issues. Originally I sent them a stream from a Mac running OBS, but of late I've been streaming from a linux server in the cloud using a custom script I wrote. My goals: (1) Have an eclectic music mix somewhere between Album Rock, Underground, Oldies, and Freeform. (2) No commercials. I can do this because I'm retired, doing this for fun (3) Highest sound quality. I mix and produce musical sets to FLAC and stream to Mixcloud at 320 kbps AAC. I can relate to tweaking the audio before uploading. I try to find the best sounding sources I can, and then I tweak things like notching 60 Hz hum, etc. And I also find that getting all the metadata correct is a lot of work. Right now I have over 2000 tracks in almost 600 musical sets in rotation. I haven't done any promotion, so I don't have many listeners, but right now my goal is just making the station. At some point, maybe I'll tackle the promotion aspect. But for now, it's a lot of fun for me, as a former broadcast engineer who built and maintained stations, to have one of my own to play with without a program director yelling at me to make our station the loudest in town.

The sound stops if I pause TH-cam.or try another channel. I've killed any background programs, but it keeps dripping away on your channel only. Good luck, I hope you fix it,

And that there is the issue. You can have all the education and credentials in the world. You can show that you can do the job. But if you are 35 and still have ZERO professional experience because you've never been able to land an interview BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE, they just will not care. Hello Nick and Nikki, I I have an issue and wish you guys will help me with it. I created an online radio on Zeno and broadcast it with Radioboss. I am able to stream my radio and I went live yesterday but the sound was not clear because I used the inbuilt microphone on my PC. I have a yahama mixer, two microphone (not condenser mic), a phono to pin chord but I can’t configure my pc to connect with these equipment to get a clear sound. I will be glad if you could help me with this. Thank you
