Lol. My first thought was this is impressive and not at the same time. My guess is, based on doing ports like this before, is half of those tools are roughers, the other half are finishers. You also might have to do some of the features in orders that don't look efficient but keep the burs down. I didn't see any deburing in this process so I'm guessing it's down somewhere else.

Some seemingly identical operations are for roughing or semi-finishing or finishing, you may need to arrange your cutting sequence optimally based on your workpiece feature ,material ,machine, fixture...etc For example , at 1:10, he would like to use helical interpolation for the pre-drill hole ,instead of a customized step indexable drill opener, maybe he is concerning the chip evacuation of the step drill, or the rigidity of the workpiece structure ,or the fixture rigidity. then the solid carbide endmill helical cutting is the optimal choice.

Zeitlupe means slow motion. As for the tool, I don't think it turns a taper, I think it's a shear tool for enhancing surface finish or improve its precision. If it was cutting a taper, the chip would get bigger as it cuts more into the diameter and a tool that size cutting a taper would squeal and chatter horribly, this tool's chip remained the same size as it was cut. It was moving across the Y axis (X axis would be the tool's depth of cut on a lathe and Z would be across the ways) which some CNC lathes and lathe-mill hybrid machines have.

I'm too lazy rn to look up the english words, but if you search for "Schäldrehen", "Rotationsdrehen" or rollfeed you'll find Videos that should clear up any confusion. There are differences between those three, but they kind of follow the same principles. It's mostly used for hard turning atm, but I'm sure It'll make It's way into general turning. Can often replace grinding and can produce completely lead free surfaces.
