@@sasa-qq9em The Picanto is a well built and very reliable little car but aren't designed to be long distance motorway cruisers! For "normal" daily use and mileages they are great and stress free little conveyances but there's that word again - little! They are aimed at the economical to own city car end of the market and are great in that role. But if you want a distance gobbler then personally I would consider looking at something a little larger like the Ford Focus, Hyundai i30 or Kia Ceed. The good thing nowadays is that no one really gets away with making "bad" cars anymore so perhaps be guided by what feels right to you and get it from a dealer in Holland who you feel you can trust, which won't necessarily be the cheapest, at least in the short term! I can understand reservations over the wet belt and 3 cylinders are never as inherently balanced as four. But with regular, scheduled maintenance and use of quality oil theses engines in reality are reliable and last well nowadays. Provided the driver doesn't expect them to perform like a V8!

The 1.4 litre petrol engine in the Rio was a brand new design at the time by Kia and has a very good reputation for being a strong and reliable engine. As with any engine, if it is looked after and benefits from regular oil changes using the correct grade, it will go to a high mileage before it starts to burn oil. I am not sure what you mean by "how are the sheets" but the Rio 2 was a significant improvement on the original and the low down torque makes it nimble around town and it easily keeps up with the traffic. The only thing I would criticise is that it really could do with a sixth gear to pull down the revs on the motorway but you soon get used to it! In my opinion it is a good, reliable car which is a pleasure to drive.
