Mesa Boogie Mark IIC Reissue With and without a boost, through a Bogner 4x12 with V30S
Tube sound is great!
you've played the mark 3 how does this stack up to it-thx ur playing is bad ass!
@@laffta6727 Thanks! Unfortunately i don’t have a lot of experience with a Mark iii so im not sure i have a valid opinion.
This may be a strange question, may I ask where you got that cab?
Shouldn´t require a boost. The amp is supposed to be tight and gainy as hell. Boost is unnecessary. And also, OD pedal messes with the low end.
sounds great. man those Bogner cabs are special.
What did you use to boost it?
@@billallengo mxr m77
Not enough delay
Sound amazing
The Plexi of a couple decades more modern
Boosts just dont go well with Mark amps. I own many boosts and many amps.
This is true. Overdrives or boosts work much better with Marshall-types.
Mmmm, Very thick
Sounds great
More need distortion in my opinion.
Sounds great! What pups do you have in that modern?
@@SeanGould suhr aldridge
@ nice. That’s what I have in mine.
Sounds great brotha, make some more
I want to like this but every amp tech I hear from says stay clear of Mesa Boogie
@@actionjacksondan mark iii, iv and jp2c are pretty complex, this one is no where near as complicated. I have probably owned 20 boogies over the years.
Thanks for the reply, sounds great
That is a SICK modern. Any chance you would part with it?
@@TheNaro127 I wasn’t planing to sell
4k for this shit?
What amp would you buy for 4k?
Sounds better than the demos made by Mesa. They don't know how to dial in the high gain tone
This actually sounds like arse and, yes they do.
part of it was the guitars they were plugging in to try and get the tones too.
@gbirdo4718 i don't know about that my tele into my mark V sounds heavy AF
@@gbirdo4718 Nope, it wasn't.
Ummm no. You know the guitar lives from 80 hz to 8khz right?
Nice guitar! Sounds good.
Mesa Mark 11 great note clarity
Sounds killer!!!!
How,do you like it so far ? Does it need a boost
@@crimsontowerfullmoon8646 if you don’t care about the clean channel you can dial it so it does not need a boost
It definitely doesn't need a boost
@@DerSilvano you got one?
@@cjmpyt a Mark IIC+? Not currently as they are not my sound but I've used a couple of them for playing metal. The EQ knobs (not the faders) are freakin powerful, they are essentially your boost
@@DerSilvano Oh right, yeah I'm full and well aware of how IIC+/s work. I'm talking about the reissue in particular, they seem to have nailed the sound without the GEQ, but the GEQ is a little off in comparison to the original.
Can you make profiles with this amp?
@@Bilsuburbians I don’t have any modelers to do so
@ okay. I just think thats a great tone and fits any metal/rock song. Thank you for this
Great tone! What riffs were you playing?
@@broski818 th-cam.com/video/tBe8Np67zGc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JKukeCfovW_wH5Kd
See, it’s easy to do a great demo of this amp, isn’t it?
Best lead amp ever.
After the iv :)
well thats just great!.... now I will spend my money on this amp also,,, after saying im done buying for the year! Thanks for the awesome video!
Nice amp, but $4000.00 too much for me..
How much would you pay?
def sounds more muffled with less high end definition without the boost... is that just a clean uncolored boost?
that last chord tells you everything you need to know ;)
Shouldn't need a boost with vol 1 and treble maxed
More dad rock settings ...
That amp doesn't really need a boost.
Mark amps aren't meant to be boosted - maybe try different settings - Vol1 9 Treble Pulled 8/9 Mids + Bass 0 Master Pulled and Lead Drive 5 / Presence at least 3.5
Why is everyone playing with dad rock settings on these amps? I don't get it.
hmm but somehow it still sounded awesome?
@@RyanTSherk sounds like a bass guitar.
This video restored my excitement in the reissue. Great playing! I’m impressed with the clarity of the notes with the gain so high. The harmonics are so rich too. Were you mic’d up, or CabSim/IR? I’d love to know your whole signal chain. Thanks!
@@aaronanderson9141 this is just from the iPad. I did do a quick miced test here on.soundcloud.com/hSwzfnVTK5RZqSp2A
0/0/10 B/M/T, Presence at like 60%, max input, max gain, bright switch on, everything else off, typical V, with a little boost to the lowest slider to compensate for the deep being off...done.
Good demo unlike the ones Gibson did 😅
There Demos were terrible, and such weird settings
Finally! Somebody who know how to dial in with Mark amp 🤘🏽🤘🏽
He still mic'd it up with a potato though.
Really? A pretty sad attempt...
Then you are very welcome to shoot your attempt and upload, then we will discuss who did it better.
@@ylmzmert I don't "attempt". If you think this is in anyway good, you would be clueless to anything else...
I have original IIC+ HRX, IV Rev A , Mark V and III Blue Stripe, maybe you cork sniffers re-consider your tone perception beyond magical old transformer and tantalum cap thing? Do it, please, whatever you call it, anything but “attempt” then we will discuss.
Love that Suhr !
The Reissue sounds great. Awesome and thanks for sharing.
After seeing the settings, you could try increasing volume 1 and treble. They both affect the gain a lot.
But it sounds great here either way
I'm the guy who posted this video on RT before you chimed in. What were your settings for this one?
I added a closer photo to the video for you but I will post the settings shortly
@ thanks!
Sounds great
How does it feel? Bouncy?
@@Basedboomerchadbear I would say yes, definitely not stiff like the JP2C. This feels more like a vintage amp not a modern amp
Nice. I have a mark III, and Mark IV. Is this as good as those, or maybe worse? As always, I’m after the the legacy Metallica tones. …nice playing bro!
@ i love the Mark IV, i think this would get you in the Metallica vein. Not sure i would say “better “ it is a little different and a little more raw sounding.
I am forever waiting for me to ship, but what do you think of the amp so far? I own a JP2C and a Mark IV Rev A and have not played on an original IIC+ so I can only go by these amps. Have you played any other marks?
@@OfficialSNMvids I have owned about Eight Mesa Mark IV’s and it is one of my favorite of the mark series. I did not care for the feel of the JP2C (I owned two of them). Just got the Reissue today, it does not have quite the same amount of liquid gain as a Mark IV, (its a bit less), boosted its great! It did take me a minute to dial in how i like it. The Master 1 volume does effect your lead master/gain
@@michaelreilly5067 Thanks for the feedback \m/
@@michaelreilly5067 never owned a mesa amp, any of you guys know if i can get a similar tone with a mark V 25? thats all i can afford, also i cant see your settings very well
@ i thought the V 25 was pretty decent and will get similar
@@michaelreilly5067 I jammed on a Mark V 25 at the store one time and thought it sounded pretty good for such a tiny amp!
