I met Peter once in Ohio. My friend's were the writers for Hyjencks Magazine in Indy😅 and were covering the intergeated band, Arcade. Peter was in the hotel restaurant area enjoying the biggest Margarita and surrounded by very young and pretty fans Then, he spilled the huge coctail unexpectedly. The speed that his sever cleaned and replaced this super sized drink was pure class! The group continued enjoying their conversation and fun! It was 1993 and I😅 wasnt sure who he was at the time, but I did listen to a little joke that he told and then I left to enjoy the huge prawns of shrimp and rest for the next days travel. If you pause at 1:00, that's legendary singer/songwriter/guitarist/keyboardist, Jim Peterik, in the glasses. Four years after The Shadows of Knight had a 1966 top-10 hit with their cover of Them's "Gloria," he wrote and sang the #2 smash hit "Vehicle" for his band The Ides of March. The first time I heard "Vehicle" on the radio I just assumed it was a new song from Blood, Sweat & Tears. Twelve years later, Peterik co-wrote and co-produced the 1982 #1 hit "Eye of the Tiger," performed by his band Survivor, for the film "Rocky III." The song won a Grammy for Best Rock Performance by Duo or Group, and was nominated for best song at the Academy Awards. These days I'm listening to his talented son, Colin Peterik, who fronts one of the best Steely Dan tribute bands on the planet, Brooklyn Charmers (from the song "Brooklyn (Owes the Charmer)," on the 1972 album "Can't Buy a Thrill."

And NOT in the R & R hall of fame, what a sham!!!
