I got you, fam. Now, Stray Kids have like a 6+ years deep discography filled with bangers with more new classics coming out every year. The MVs are always quality and usually both well-directed and well-edited. As someone mentioned, one of the really cool things about Stray Kids is how in control of their sound they are. For the most part, they're writing everything and producing the tracks. They make A LOT of their own beats. There's a subunit with SKZ called 3racha (pronounced like sriracha) that is the main writing and producing unit for the group, with more members writing more every year. You can generally take it for granted that if the song sounds a certain way, it is intended to sound that way by SKZ. If you wanna go more chronological: Back Door (that's what the teaser at the end of this one is) Maniac Venom Freeze Case 143 Easy Miroh Side Effects Hellevator (very 1st MV they ever did - track still slaps) Cheese Thunderous (this is easily one of their absolute coolest and most creative MVs to date which, once you see some of the other ones, sounds insane and yet it's true) Now the past two years have been insane in Stayville, to wit: S-Class Topline Megaverse Lalalala Chk Chk Boom Jjam Mountains Giant Social Path OG stays don't seem to care for the Lose My Breath single but I think it's lovely. I would suggest the Stray Kids version of this one b/c it is a little better than the official one feat. Charlie Puth and there's a performance video of it where it's just them singing on stools. But it's great b/c everyone gets to show off their vocals, esp. 3racha. Walking on Water is from the brand new album "Hop" that just dropped a couple of weeks ago. It's very old school hip hop and the album also has a Hip version that's a lovely DJ remix. I cannot stress enough that these are just SOME of the highlights of their illustrious discography with MVs to get you started. One of the things stays like to say that I completely agree with is that Stray Kids' b-sides are other group's title tracks b/c that's how quality their albums If you give these a whirl and you're really feeling it, there's oodles and oodles to listen to. The fandom name is Stay btw. Whenever you're ready to branch out, I would highly recommend ATEEZ who are Stray Kids' crazy musical theatre cousins. They're also really good and have a similar philosophy of experimentation and switching up their sound. They do have a bit more of lore and storylines to follow, if that's your jam. Their overall concept is that they're space pirates but there's also like dark versions of them, like with EXO. Like, the venn diagram btwn atinys (a-TEENY) and stays is practically a circle to the pt that staytiny is the accepted name for fans of both.

Song is a real statement about the education system and social norms in South Korea that put far too much pressure on young people. That the combination of both steals away the youth's Dreams and is the cause of South Korea having the highest youth suicide rate in the world they took over from Japan. We all knew how bad it was in Japan when it came to youth suicide due to school work but for South Korea to take over and become the worst was and is still truely disappointing and extremely sad.

Pretty much all 8 of them can dance, sing, and rap. There is a main rap line: changbin, Han, Hyunjin, and Felix. The main vocal line is Seungmin, I.N, Lee Know, and Bang Chan. Changbin and Han those 2 with the leader, Bang Chan, make up the production subunit of 3Ratcha. The main 3 dancers (Dance Ratcha) are Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Felix. The Vocal Racha sub unit is Seungmin and I.N. But there are songs where all 8 of them sing too. Stray Kids are big on the verbal and visual symbolism. Such as Changbin’s listing of birds (passing travelers, pigeons, magpies, and crows) where they’re likely depicting the wide audience of viewers: people who are just passing through, interested, and even the haters. Their music is so unique and they are always growing and changing their sounds that means that even if you step away you’ll come back to them because what they create will draw you in. Also each setting depicts their creativity (chefs), innovation (scientists), construction (self-producing), collaboration (race track out crew), and talent. They do a lot of word play like the Korean word for “welcome” can sound a little like shitshow and this may or may not be a play on words. 😂 This is definitely “this is us and what we do. We won’t be ignored. Deal with it.” Also the fan base is called Stay because they’re inviting all fans who feel lost or astray to them and together we can find a place to belong.
