This is a Rock n Roll masterpiece. I was there in 1987, Foxborough MA... this is the first song they played. Today almost 4 decades later, the guitar intro still chills me to the bone, as it did then. Felt like they were Aliens from another planet. No, I wasn't high, but the music and atmosphere were permanently imprinted in my mind as a highlight of my youth.

I've listened to this song hundreds of times over the years and it still gives me goosebumps and brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it. "Forward, he cried, from the rear, and the front ranks died. And the General sat, and the lines on the map moved for side to side" has got to be one of the most powerful lines ever written.

How underrated is Gilmour as a singer, damn he always nailed it 😮‍💨

We need Dave to play this song and Dogs in the LAS tour. I am fed up of him playing most Division songs because of Poly which does not mean she is not a great lyricist. But David also is good when picking a pen!
