I think they where designed as a base camp shelter, known for for being not that water proof so would defo drench it in fabseal

These look a great bit of kit but at 7kg, makes you wonder why the military would make something so heavy? If you were to strap to a backpack, you'd not be able to carry too much more over a distance and would have to make some sacrifices with your gear. I think you got real unlucky with this one. It's had a hard life with all them patches and wasn't cleaned before packed away. Hopefully it will be watertight after you fabsil it. Best of luck! Or did you already do so as this is a re-upload? Hi Sam. Great video! Nice roaring fire. Better than my last efforts. Ha ha. I used to use the smaller mess tin with the larger mess tin covering it as a lid with a small gap to allow steam to escape. Works great as long as the bottom of the large mess tin is clean 🫡👍

The gas can be a pain in that weather, fuel tablets work well mate in low temperatures.

Nice purchase…don’t tighten the door glass you need a little room for metal expansion and warping every burn…didn’t see a pipe damper did I miss it ??? Try automotive pipe or flex pipe for exhaust…probably cheaper than ordering stove pipe…have fun stay safe.

Hey Sam👋🏻 That stove is mint. I'd love one, but I know it would never get the use it would warrant. This has probably already occurred to you, but perhaps a simple windbreaker to prevent heat loss to the high wind. Maybe a log wind break or even one of those silver coated foam windscreen protectors lashed between two or three stakes. Far enough away not melt but close enough to block the wind and reflect some heat back in to the shelter. It's also easier to move around if the wind changes direction. I'm going to have to revisit some of your tarp videos, later. I finally bought myself a DD tarp (after having spent a similar amount on a half dozen temu/ebay fakes) and I need some practice before I head on out with it. I used to get migraines alot when I was kid. They stopped after about the age of 10. I've no idea why they started or why they stopped. I don't care as they're never repeated.

Can't beat a bacon and sausage roll. Shame the migraine stops the guitar playing. Don't know what I'd do if I couldn't play one of my 24 guitars. Happy 2025 mate. See you there.

With the compound bow , the arrow will go through the target , through the tree and end up in another village.

The thing I like about a bow is you are not showering the forest and fields with bits of lead like they do with shooting. The arrows aren't very good though . I think you need to be slot further back with your aim .
