Brake Dust Pro “It stinks, but works like magic”

This is the absolute best wheel cleaner/brake dust remover I’ve ever used and the bonus is, it’s Hyperdip/Plastidip friendly. Simply spray on, wait for 2mins and power wash off. Mo need for any brushes, cloths or any contact at all. The product has a very strong scent and isn’t the cheapest, but it really does work extremely well. #autodetailing #dipyourcar

Hyperdip Brass Monkey New addition to the Hyperdip collection.

This Hyperdip newly added colour is amazing. The “fleck” in this deep bronze/grey/gold mix just plays with the light. This gives a different shade of bronze depending on the light. Absolutely amazing. Treat this one like regular spray paint as it’s much thinner than plastidip, so thinner coats with greater drying times are required for the best results! Great! what type u used for this logo?
If you mean the font type, it’s direct from Porsche and was purchased by the customer. Not 100% sure what you mean by “what type I used”?
@@desiretodetail7591 ohh sorry, i meant: what type of glue u used to make it back into its place safely
Ah, thanks for clarifying that. The oe Porsche badge comes with an adhesive back which is a bonus but I also added a very thin, and I do emphasize “thin” layer of “Amazing Goop” which is an automotive adhesive and sealant. It’s great to use for this type of application as it dries to a rubber form and is very easy to remove should you have the need.
@desiretodetail7591 Thats awesome! tnx for ur kind reply 😀. i will put an eye on that . blessings

Great video! I'm really liking these hybrid products from TW. Hey, your Oakley glasses are great, what model name are your frames? Looking for a new pair....
Thanks for the kind words and great catch. I do love Oakley prescription frames. It’s the only frames I wear. These are the Oakley Chamfer MNP in Satin black. Very cool frames indeed.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Great music!
You’re most welcome Joe, glad you enjoyed the music.
That's awesome, have you tried Bead It yet?
I actually use it every time I wash my wife’s Tucson. Works like a dream.
You still using Genius Detail products? Would love to see more on these guys as always looking for something new to try.
Absolutely. I love their products and still put in an order every now and then. I used the watermelon dress it last weekend on both my engine bay and my interior. Also, if you haven’t tried it yet, the All purpose cleaner is amazing and I never have a time when I don’t have a bottle on the shelf. I think my last order from them was late June.
Does it get dusty? Would you eat the ceramic wax in a month or two?
I was just saying only this morning while I watched my wife drive to work. The thing still looks so slick and it seems to have lasted so long. Admittedly, I do clean it at the very least once a month with very good products.
How many cans
One per wheel.
@@desiretodetail7591 you did an amazing job. Going to have to try this
how have your wheels held up since you posted this? i just ordered my brass monkey kit - mine kit included 5 cans unlike yours which seems to have had 4.
I opted for four cans as I felt that a can per wheel was good enough. They have held up extremely well. Considering I only use them for winter driving. I’ve had a couple of stone chips which are very easily taken care of by covering the disc and calliper with a bin liner. Lightly cleaning off the rippled hyper dip in the chipped area with thinners. Then cleaning off any residual thinners with the hyper dip surface prep before reapplying a few coats on the newly exposed area. It works so well, you will hardly notice the repair. I get all sorts of crap on the wheels during the winter months of driving and they still look really good. One thing I will add here is that I don’t contact wash the wheels at all. This is achievable by using the quit expensive and extremely potent BDP brake dust remover by hyper dip. It’s not cheap, and you will need to wear a mask when applying it, but it works like magic. Simply spray on, watch for the brake dust chemical reaction (turns purple) and throughly rinse off with a hose. One bottle has now lasted me two seasons, it’s well worth the money for your hyper dipped wheels.
@@desiretodetail7591 fantastic response, thank you! i figured 4 per wheel was enough too which is why i was shocked the kit included 5. I'll likely keep the 5th for touch ups. I'm using this color for summer wheels so i shouldn't be running into the same "issues" you do with them being winter wheels which makes me feel even more comfortable about the choice. I live in USA in the salt belt.. salt everywhere just eats your vehicles which I'm sure you're more than familiar with living in Canada. Super glad to hear you're still happy with the product!
Thanks. You’re going to love it. Really easy application, awesome results and very minimal maintenance, just perfect. When you apply the product, treat it as you would any other spray paint. If you get any runs, they can be easily removed by “over spraying in that area. If you’re not familiar with this check out you tube for fixing runs. I didn’t believe it until I tried it myself, it really does work and totally removes the run.
Brass wheels imo, are the classiest of all colors. They look great with everything
I couldn’t agree more. Thanks for your kind comment 👍🏾
Can I use this product in black trims?
I’ve only used it on black paint work as it’s a wax. I’d use a specific trim product for your black trim.
For black trim, I highly recommend Lithium trim cubes. The product stinks while applying so you will need to use a mask/respirator but the product renews black trim perfectly and it lasts for years. I just washed the Tucson today and the trim is still perfect. I can’t recommend this product enough. It’s not cheap, but well worth the money.
@@desiretodetail7591 Thanks for the recommendation. I am looking to buy the ceramic black wax and that product for trim.
@@desiretodetail7591 Cool buddy. Will the regular cericamic spray work for trims and car lights (non wax product )?
@@thethreatwrestling.7053 absolutely. It will definitely protect your trim. Just apply, let it settle and then reapply and the results will speak for themselves.

Great, great video, mate! Well done, and I love the final product.
Thanks Nick. Still going strong in this BC weather too. 👍🏾
If you buy directly from dip, your car, you get five cans of the brass monkey and the full kit for the same price that the company you use is charging. based on your accent I’m guessing you’re in Canada or the UK I’m not sure maybe that’s why they’re only selling four cans to offset shipping but something to check into by the way your wheels look it’s the same color I got for my wheels
Thanks brother. I’m from the UK and now living in Canada for the last 17yrs so you’re correct on both counts. I received a heavy discount when I bought the cans as I was able to drive to the Canadian company’s outlet and collect direct. The pic you see here serves as an add for them so I get treated very well when purchasing products from them. It’s a great product and I swear by it. The dip is still holding up to this day, even in this crappy BC weather. The key is in how you maintain the dipped rims. I only use the Brake Dust Pro (BDP) buy the same company. It’s a spray on, and rinse off solution. Absolutely zero contact with the rim/product and it really works well. It stinks, so if you use it, I recommend using a mask, but it’s well worth it for the results.
Awesome detailed video & it came out amazing! What was your wait time between coats & final dry time?
Thanks mate. I was using a 15min between coats and I let them sit from early evening to the following mid day, so apparently 16hrs all in.
A pleasure to see you again Michael. A stunning turnaround with the vehicle but I’d expect no less. Nice hoodie 😉. Stay safe my friend. 🤙🏾

Great video! Thanks for explications
Thanks, you’re most welcome.
how long did it last?
Still going strong. This will be winter season No 3. The coating is awesome and if you use the BDP to clean the wheels, you don’t ever need to scrub them. Just spray, wait and rinse.
Saw you today and had to lookup the TH-cam. On dewdney. That’s a sweet car bro
Woah, you saw me driving bruv?

8 cans on one wheel?? Are you freak'n serious ???
Did you even watch the vid?? I didn’t even have 8 cans 🙄
@@desiretodetail7591 results came out good, can't wait to do mine, thinking of doing the lighter color. Wondering after a year, are you seeing any problems? ... any premature peeling? Note that the video and edits are deceptive, you didn't explain that you were painting all four wheels at the same time. The video only shows you spraying the one left most wheel, nowhere do we see the other three wheels being sprayed or even a brief explanation. If we didn't make the assumption that you were doing all four wheels at the same time, it looks like you are using all four cans on one wheel. I did watch the full video and finally figured it out. Also, it is recommended to periodically rotate the wheels to get an even better coverage to ensure no missing spots. Anyway, thanks for doing a video on this.
@lordtule665 That’s all great advice and for that, I’m thankful. I did indeed do all four wheels at the same time in order to maintain continuity across the set. I didn’t rotate the wheels, but I did use one can at a time and not per wheel, as it may have seamed. I can safely say that the wheels have held up so well, that I’m about to put them back on for the fall/winter months and all they might need is a cleaning from getting dusty in the garage during the spring/summer storage. I even had a stone put a mark on one of the spokes and repaired the coating while the wheel was still on the car. Just masked up the calliper and disc, thinned out the damaged area with paint thinners, and then reapplied the hyper dip on the damaged area, layer by layer until it totally blended in. The difference is almost invisible. The other thing is, if you clean your dipped rims with BDP from Dip outlet, all you need to do is simply spray on, rinse off and blow dry. It’s a total “no contact” wash and the results are perfect. I’ve made a video about the product if you care to check it out. The Hyper Dip is amazing and I’ll be keeping it on as I’m very happy with it. It’s definitely stood the test of time and shows no signs of wear & tear or discolouration. Good luck with your application, I’m sure you will love the results.
@@desiretodetail7591 I appreciate the response and all the information, I'm still trying to figure out which color to use, it's either the brass monkey or bronze gold. I have a 2023 300C in Velvet Red, when I get the HyperDip on the wheels they are going to standout so nice, just having a hard time deciding which color. And then I may or may not use the same color on some accent pieces, the blackout sections like on the front lower facia.
@lordtule665 sounds like an awesome project. I would say that the brass monkey is more of a “muted” brass colour so if you’re looking for something a little brighter, I’d go with the bronze gold. I wanted something that would stand out against the red paintwork while not being too much in your face. The brass monkey is perfect in this case. Good luck with whichever one you choose.
Buying one from my buddy who sold his N.Gonna install it next weekend,Thx for a Nice Detailed video
Good luck bruv. Don’t forget to heat the edges as per the vid and most importantly “take your time”.
Funny, I stumbled on your video because I was thinking of hyperdiping my stock wheels on my car, whats funny is I drive an Elantra N, car looks good and I just ordered my brass monkey hyperdip wheel kit!
Fantastic choice, you won’t be disappointed.
Beautiful colour. My 440i gran coupe in mineral gray is getting the brass monkey on its 19s this weekend.
Still have this colour on my car and it’s awesome. Pro tip, use the Hyperdip BDP wheel cleaner as it cleans fast, easy and with zero contact needed from you. I have a video on it if you want to check it out.
@desiretodetail7591 is this a pre clean before hyper dip or to clean dipped wheels? I do need a cleaning solution for when they're dipped. I've struggled with past cars keeping plastidip clean. I've always gone black too. This is my first wheel dip with a colour
I’ll add the link to the vid here for you. It’s short and sweet. This is for cleaning/maintenance after the wheels are dipped. The stuff stinks, but it’s amazing. th-cam.com/video/Pvt7isFGl00/w-d-xo.html
@desiretodetail7591 that's some good stuff! Ordering!
@red_limey_ Good man. You won’t be disappointed 👍🏾
And clean pad every few oanels
I use a fresh pad ever “few panels”
That cord running across paint going to scratch car dude put it behind you
The cord was over my shoulder and behind me. It only touched the fender towards the end of the vid and only very lightly. Also, the fender was polished after I had finished the hood so even if there was any marking from the cord (which there wasn’t) it would have been taken care of when I worked on it.
Did you also do the barrel of the wheel from the back or not?
Nope. No need as the over spray was enough for what I needed. The wheels are back on for another winter season and they still look amazing. They get hammered in our Canadian winter conditions and still look great. Well worth the time invested.
Oh yeah, does it really "fills" minor scratches like the product claimed ?
It does indeed. With the correct application and waiting times, you will be amazed at the results.
I have watched your 1st video and than this one. The result on your car is superb im happy seeing it as you did. Definitely gonna buy this one. Awsome video sir👍

Lithium Makes phenomenal products. I've tried every thing they make and it's all absolutely top tier stuff. You won't regret it. Their drying aid Ignite after wash is my favorite. Ignite is meant to use while the car is wet. It's made to work mixed with water. Color Crush has more Si02 and is made for spray on, buff off dry paint. Amazing on paint, glass, wheels and outside trim
I also use all of the Lithium products. Check some more vids to see some other products that I’ve reviewed. I’m never without a bottle of Ignite afterwash.
