Who would wana look like alan blair.... 😂😂😂😂
I wish my wife looked at me the way Jez looks at Jules 😂 Lol.
Perfect timing whilst tea cooking 👍 Plus I know it’s going to be good 👍
Hope you enjoy ☺️
Show us putting it into the back of a car or estate. My MAP 4 wheeler comes to bits easily.
Whats the point of waterproof zips on a non waterproof jacket? Or is the inside pocket waterproof ?
Sandwich short of a picnic 😢
not a fan of nash.im a korda man my self do you stock plenty of korda clothing.i am from up north and planning a visit to your shop for a look and possibly a few buys
Yes, we stock plenty of Korda clothing Lee 👍🏼
Gerald …….lingerie ads on tv next ? But joking apart at last pants with a fly 👍👍👍👍
I’m sure we can arrange something with him Andy 🤣
The krankies
Harrison's 🎉
Another great video , really well explained by Julian .
Thanks mate
Does the guy on the right play the character Clinton Baptiste as well?😂😂
Mate that’s done me 😂😂
What's your thoughts on stripping the braid to get it through the eye ?
Not necessary for this. You can get Nash 25lb Semi Stiff Skinlink through a Twister 5
Где можно купить?
Morning boys Wish these Julian sessions were longer 👍
We shot five ' ad hoc ' style but Id love to do a close up on depth one on rigs
@ that would be brilliant
What is Julians and the shops opinion about "Magic Wand" and Magic Twig?
We could ask him for you on another video maybe “ask jules” if this is something Julian would consider doing as I’m sure everyone has a question they would love to ask and pick information from his carp brain! #Askjules
Another bit of good solid advise from Julian again. And not a spinner rig insight. Loving the rig videos 👍
I think years ago when hooks were considerably less sharp a ' self striking ' device would be a massive advantage. Nowadays MY belief is that with my sharpened Twister hooks the pressure that is needed to trigger the wand would see that hook of mine well set anyway. I've not used one tbh so my opinion is an opinion not a tested opinion
@Lee-Wood-DK there a con and a gimmick in my opinion bud if you use a sharp hook as soon as the carp hits the lead the hook is set. But if Mr humidi says it works and it gives you confidence use it.
Always good advice Jules. 👍
Amazing
Do they do 13ft version
I use fine wire hooks, I hate heavy wire most of the big name carp hooks are rubbish - size 4 tend to be like shark hooks, total overkill I just brush up the point gently with a fine Jag stone before recasting - job done its easy and quick and you quickly get a knack for it - there is no need for an magnifier tool and loads of files, vices are good, putting vaseline stuff on is a load of tripe
i use a size 6 kamakura out turned eye choddy and it turns on the palm combined with a kicker like you said the 4s are overkill
I use barbless . Rather lose a fish than do the damage to fish .
Barbless do loads of damage slipping and tearing - microbarbed are FAR safer
Great video , common sense advice and , as always , words of wisdom from this man . Never tire of hearing Jule's thoughts and opinions 👍
Thanks mate that's very kind my friend
You keep talking about a finer point but never define what that is? I assume that regardless of what thickness of wire ( ie hook size) you use the angle at the point will be the same when it has been hand sharpened, but that will be a finer/ shallower angle than a factory point. So how does a smaller hook have a finer point?
The area from tip to barb is fined / thinned down . From 2 to 6 I have them fined / thinned
Julian, hit the nail on the head when it comes to barbless. Too many inexperienced " carpfishing" nowadays. If they learn the basics instead of jumping straight in at the deep end specimen fishing alot of lake rules would be more relaxed. Great video again 👍
Thanks mate much appreciated @ReeceDunn-sq3fh
A finer point will also be blunted and bent over alot more from debris, gravel and fish etc, etc, never needed to buy a pack of hooks to pay someone to then sharpen them in over 32 years of carp fishing, that little file Jules picked up is more than good enough to touch a hook up on the bank if and when needed.
Absolutely true - it's each to their own . All I can do is talk from my own experiences
I once caught 16 carp all over 20 up to 37lb from a very tricky deep venue in a night all on the same rig. The hook was a size 4 korda curve shank. I totally disagree that the hook is the single most important thing. The whole rig is. Sharpening an already chemical sharpened hook is the worst thing you can do it weakens the pount so much. On the subject of rigs if you dont already know it try Martin Clarkes slip D rig. The video on how to tue it is on youtube or at least used to be. If you hook any fish outside the mouth just make the rig a bit longer. Its the best rig i have usrd since the original hair rig when i was about 13 and im 57 now. Tight lines guys
That's a busy night ....
@julescundiff8102 it was the maddest nights fishing i have ever had. It was at the end of a long campaign on a 20 ft deep ressie right before it shut up shot for the winter. Nothing is ever caught from their on the bottom from mid December till March except on pigs. I knew something special was on the cards but didn't expect that
I have scuba dived in a local syndicate lake “ with permission of the owner “ during close season and I was absolutely stunned at the amount of lead weights I see . The only people pushing you to drop the lead are those making and selling them and there is absolutely no need to . All the nonsense about fish coming to the surface because there is no lead etc is just bs
I've been using the same hook since 1998, its getting a bit rusty now so might open another packet
🤣🤣
Hooks are more than sharp enough when you buy them . Always make me laugh when carpers go on about sharpening hooks 😂😂😂. I've got my tin hat on ready for the replies
Get ready lol 😂
Been fishing 50yrs and have never sharpened a hook , when it stops gripping your thumbnail bin it
As I keep saying it's my findings reinforced by catch results and watching the underwater films and logic . Believe me I'd prefer everyone not to use sharpened hooks 😉
Eye glass boys at my age I need a microscope 😂
Brilliant Lads nice to see you both
Iron comes close to the resisting weight of actual lead on a lake bed. Iron for instance is much better than stone. No joke. I have a list of weight products in correct order. There's even a formula to calculate the actual weight resistente under water of certain products.
No need to drop lead. Being sold to fishermen to sell more leads. Also lead has been around for hundreds of years everyone is still here id be more worried about the human shite being dumped it the rivers than a lead.
That looks smart. Unfortunately i cant lay out 200 for a chair.
One of the OG’s in carp fishing
It’s always good to see Julian on here demonstrating his knowledge on rigs !!! By the way, Does he comb his hair with a balloon?
😂
😂😂
Legend 🔥🔥🔥
Now then mate, just to say I haven't used a pop up in years , I fish a weedy lake as you know and soon as I get there I lead about a bit and as long as I feel lead hit firmish ground that's were rig goes with bottom bait on, very rare I lose a fish....
As I always say " If it ain't bust FFS don't fix it .... "
I stopped fishing in early 80’s & then started again 2 years ago Always had a problem with the idea that carp never approach a bait from lead end
Julian don't need to wear a court wig anymore.
Damn I'd forgotten !
Bo Selecta 😂😂😂
The chuckle brothers ...to me , to you 😅😅

Awesome casting machines
Rod and emu
Great rods I have 4 myself what people might not understand the rods overtime will never lose their through action over the years like other rods will do.as the carbon blank is of a very high quality.like you have said very low resin which is very important in high-end rods.which increases the strength and accuracy in the cast due to no twist in the casting of the rod.And with free Spirit rods should you an accident with the rod break a section of the rod 10 years of more down the rod you we'll be able to get a new replacement section. But with rods sold by certain companies with in a year are discontinued or new version of that rod are made and spares are not kept.so you end up going out and getting new rods and spending more money in the end.We all have probably have all done it over the years.expensive rods are not going to be for everyone it all depends on where you go fishing and how many times you go in a year. But if you want a hand built of a high quality rod that will last for probably the rest of your life you will not go wrong with a freespirit Hi-S All I would say if you want a custom build.I allow yourself plenty of time don't expect your rods back in a week or even a month due to a lot of workload.it's a lot quicker on a standard build just bear this in mind.just think you've got the rods for the rest of your you so if you would like a custom build them you can later in your life if you want. I love my Free Spirit 13f rods for Carp fishing and for casting long distances .
For the rest of your life🤔
Carp tax is a joke 😂😂
Jez... ?.. with so many carp baits out there...wot do you sell most of...
