How to change lens on a dslr camera
in this video there is an instruction on how you put on a lens on your system camera (dslr camera) It can be a little intimidating at first to take off or put on a lens to your new camera, but just do it, you won´t regret it.

Canon RF 50mm f1.8 - great budget lens
มุมมอง 195หลายเดือนก่อน
Canon Rf 50mm f1.8 is a lens most photographers just should have. It`s great for beginners with a budget, and really great for all of you who wants blurry backgrounds. This is a budget lens, but don`t get fooled, this is real stuff, great quality optics and accurate focus. It`s a "must have" . music from Epidemic sound: share.epidemicsound.com/vfkgo5

This is just a video of me playing around with the Canon eos R50 and the canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. The app keeps crashing on my phone tho
It`s hard to say what causes that. I haven`t experienced it to be crashing yet. maybe try to delete the app, and reinstall it?
Witch one is better
That depends on what you are looking for in a camera. Both sensors are good enough for most photography, however you will have some advantages with the full frame. Cameras with a fullframe sensor are usually more expensive than the cropped one, so thats a plus for the aps-c.
ill rather use the old lenses than buy the entry rf ones... they are very expensive and their quality is the same...
Yes, there are a lot of great older lenses that still performs really great, even with new cameras:)
Can you send me the link to buy this adapter?
I recommend you to search for it online to find the best price for it in your area. Copy this and put in your browser/searchbar: canon mount adapter ef-eos r
Thanks for the video, mate! I’ve got my R50 with the stock lens and am now exploring options for portrait lenses.
Thanks for watching:-) Yes it`s nice to find other lences for the use that you need. A nice starter portrait lens would be the canon 50mm f1,8 (the one in the video). it`s affordable and you will get some experience with large aperture and the way it works. Later you can go for more advanced lenses, but for the R50 the 50mm is great.
subscribed! do you think this set up would work with a digicam (vetek brand) that has a usb c port?
thanks:) This spesific setup requires a video capture card and therefore also a HDMI port from the camera for signal transfer. I Don`t know if there is a way to do this with just the usb c output, especially connected to a phone. But there might be a solution out there maybe? Sorry I could not help you better.
can i use in eos 750D???
You dont need this for the 750d, this camera is already using EF, EF-S lenses. This adapter is Just for the canon RF system to use EF lenses.
Can we operate all things from mobile after connect mobile with camera like touch screen or mobile is only for screen, all setting should be done from camera ?
unfortunately you can not operate the camera settings from the phone touch screen, just on the camera.
Hello mate... I must buy this Canon adapter for EF/EF-S lens or I also can bought some cheaper, but fully compatible adapter for EF lens on my new Canon EOS R7, i like as adapter from Artisan or K&F Concept adapter? What is your recommendation to me, because I'm beginner, and I mostly use DLSM and planned to use EF lens which are good for recording... Thank's a lot mate... Greetings from the Serbia...
Hello there, Thanks for watching. There is a whole bunch of adapters out there, and many of them works just fine. I mainly use the Canon EF - R adapter and also an adapter from Commlite. Both works really good with both my R6 and my R50 camera. I use different EF and EF-S lenses where autofocus and image stabilization is responding very well. These adapters are affordable with a cost of approx. 100 us dollars. I think its worth it. Good luck with your photography:-)
i got a cheap one from ali express in like 17 bucks.... works just fine af and all... tested it on an R10 with an old canon 50-250mm efs....
Can you do autofocus on the phone, the same way you do from the camera screen ?
The autofocus is still the same. The only thing to mind is that you can`t mark out the focus point on the phone with a finger, so you need to use the controls on the camera.
I want to know if it is possible to play back shots on the phone screen? And can it be displayed on the LCD screen of the device and iPhone when in use? I am also using canon R6 Thank you for the very good video
Yes you can playback shots on the phone screen, it will work the same as the camera display, using camera controls. And it can also be displayed both on camera screen and the phone, using the right setting for HDMI-screen in the camera menu.( for R6 first page no 8 - when in video mode)
does the video capture card is mandatory? can i just plug micro hdmi to hdmi -> hdmi to c (direct to phone)?
Yes, you`ll need a video capure card for this setup.
Can also use camera monitor and smartphone display at the same time?
Yes, you can choose in the settings of the camera if signals should go to both screens or just the external monitor.
I have an HDMI Video Capture card, but I cannot find the right app to connect my dslr camera to my iPhone. I tried the CamX-USB Camera, but it still won't connect to my camera. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I am using an app called "usb camera" and it works fine. It comes in a free version and a pro for a few bucks. You can download it from google play for android, or App store if you use Iphone.
Ever thought buying a speedbooster?
The speedbooster is interesting. Lot of advantages there. Feel it`s a bit over to the very pro side of things.
Very useful. I have canon R10 and i learn some basic things about photography in your video . Thank you
Thanks for watching:-)
Welcome to the “my lens is bigger than my camera” club. It’s a good one to be part of.
You Bet :-)
New yearbook teacher here! Do you just do this once and it’s set or do you have to do it when you turn on the camera?
If you set this , it will stay this way until you change it. The camera remembers :-)
I have some short cables on order. How do you get the full width? Great video. Thanks ❤❤❤
You just tap the phone screen - and you can also zoom in and out just like a normal touch screen. Sorry if this wasn`t What you meant.. Thanks for watching :-)
My dslr's liveview mode is not working because of a shutter error. But the viewfinder does work and can take pictures with it. Will this setup work even if this is the case?
I would think so. This setup takes signals from the HDMI, and the camera screen will be shutting off during the use of the external monitor anyways. But I haven`t tried it under that specific issue, so this is just a guess.
is it work for fujifilm xe2 bro ???
As long as the camera has HDMI, it will work :)
1. Does it record to the phone or the cameras SE card? 2. Is there a record limit? 3. Does it record 4k? 4. Does it work on iPhone? Thank you for making this video!!!
Hi, thank you for watching:-) Well, I`ll try to answer in short form here: 1. You record to your camera sd card automatically. You can also record to Your phone, but it needs to be specified in the app (usb camera app) 2. The record limit is decided by codec, resolution and what Storage space you have. 3. You can record in 4K to your phone, but make sure you have a video capture card that supports 4k resolution. If you record to Your camera sd card there will off course be no problem. 4. It does work on Iphone, just download the USB Camera app from App Store, you can choose the free version or the pro version, depending on your needs. There is a hole lot of things you can do with this solution, for example you can make live streams directly to a social media platform via the phone, using an external camera. :-)
How did you get the micr to work, I have same but camera rejects it all the time ? 😢
Well it`s plug and play really, but make sure that the soundrecording is on either manual or auto in the settings menu (first page down bottom) If it still don`t work, maybe it`s something wrong with the jack cable, connection or the microphone itself.
Put your sound on manual and adjust the sound level a little lower. When your editing out the sound level up
rf-S18-45镜头体积更小,会更方便携带❤❤
Sorry, don`t know your language - but I see that you mention the RF-S 18-45 lens, and that works fine too :-)
@@E.H.V.M oh sorry, translation wasn't work?I mean, the RF-S18-45 lens is smaller and easier to carry.☺️☺️
Yes, you are absolutely right:-) This was just to show that the older kit lenses can also be used on newer cameras :-)
hi , suggest an extension tube for good macro using R50 canon
Hi, I`m sorry but I don`t really have much experience using extension tubes, but I know there is some good options out there:-)
Auto focus in video its working?
Yes, the autofocus is working for video as well. But some lenses could have a slow and noisy focus motor, so it`s not always a good solution.
hi thanks i saw your video yesterday and have ordered online for a ef-rf adaptor and an ef-50mm f1.8 lens, thanks for your tips it saved money and am learning aswell .
Hi, thats great. But remember that even though this is a nice thing to have for the older lenses, I would always recommend using the RF lenses for the Canon RF cameras because of better focus motors, better optics and better electronics. But hey, I`m still using this combination from time to time, and it works just fine. Some lenses react a little bit different, but all in all, It`s a nice and affordable thing to have.
@@E.H.V.M hi thanks, yes understood but " affordability" is the main factor for me. and it is also working well . today i saw a video in which the person bought a extension tube instead of macro lens and that works , again very affordable
Yes I agree, I like affordable solutions myself. I think I`m gonna check out extension tubes as well, it looks really interesting - thanks for sharing :-)
@@E.H.V.M thanks a lot , since i too have a canon R50 , your inputs will be very usefull
how much does this add to the focal length?
A lens mount adapter itself does not change the actual focal length of the lens. However, the perceived focal length can be affected by the type of camera sensor you are using. Meaning, if you put the aps-c lens on a full sensor camera you wil have a crop factor (1.6 for canon).
Es adopter ka price kya hai
Sorry Sir, but I don`t understand your language, but thanks for watching:-)
That 18-45 is hot garbage bro wtf are you talking about
I don`t agree, if you are getting the R50 you will probably get the kit lens that is the 18-45, and it`s a good start for someone who want`s to learn more about photography. Start with the affordable, devolope, and then get the good ones. If you can handle the basics, then you will have a good time with the best..
I noticed that the adapter was quite snug when you mounted it, would that damage the camera mount itself? The reason I am asking is that, I recently got a new Canon RF lenses and I noticed the same thing, it is more snug and requires more force to mount. Unlike the 24-50 kit that came with my R8, mounting is so smooth. Any advice?
I don`t really have a good answer on that question other than it havent been a problem for me this far. I also notice some difference in how thight different mount components can be, and off course I become a little more careful with those snug ones. I`m not very concerned about damaging the camera mount though, they are quiet robust, but off course within limits :-)
Does using this adapter.. Crops the images Any cons using this adapter?
There are no particular cons using an adapter, but it will always be preferable to use original mounting for lenses and camera. especially when it comes to electronics and stability for is. But having an adapter will often give your older lenses new life, and that`s kind of nice:-)
@@E.H.V.M thank you for your info..
Can we do occasional family photoshoot with this macro lens ?
This was mostly just for fun, and it`s not a macro lens actually. This combo is absolutely a smashing one, but for occasional family photoshoot, I would choose another lens :-)
What about the multi-function shoe adapter for smartphone link (Canon AD-P1)?
I`m not that familiar with the device, looks interesting though :)
Thanks for your response 🙏🙏
You`re welcome - and thanks for watching :-)
Is it possible to go live with this setup?
Yes, you should be able to do live streaming using this setup. But It`s probably vice to buy the pro version of the USB Camera app with slightly more advanced settings. And not at least, you will get rid of the adds that pops up in the free version when you are online.
Is it possible to use IS from lenses? I want a converter for my RP and a lens with IS.
Good question,. It really comes down to how well your lens response to the adapter electronics. I`m currently doing some tests on an adapter from Commlite, and I`m pairing a canon R50 with a older lens - thats canon EF 75-300mm with image stabilization. The reason I`m using the R50 is that this camera has no inbody stabilization, so that I can be sure of the effective force of the lense IS. And my experience is that as soon autofocus locks on, everything calms down, and that is a good sign. It means that the lenses IS is kicking in and works with the adapter. But however, this is just one test really, and I can just speak for this one at the moment.
Hi!!! are you going to post a video using the baby monster??
Hi, I`m certainly gonna try to make that happen in the near future:-)
So many pointless and slow movements throughout this video
Noted :)
Any clarity issue ? Because of the extended distance from the sensor and lens due to the converter?
it can be, but it all depends how well the electronics recieves the signals from that lens in use.
RF-S 10-18mm vs RF-16mm?
Unfortunately I haven`t yet tried the RF-S 10-18mm so i cannot say much about the difference between the two. It would be interesting though, to test it.
Thanks for sharing. I use this solution sometimes but I will add, you can get capture cards with usb c pig tails eliminating the need for the additional usb c extension cable. Good video. 👍🏼
Thanks for watching:) Yes I have been looking for that capture card with the built in usb c, it would be a better solution than my "clumsy" cable management. But the principal was more important in the video :-)
It's good to use an HDMI to micro HDMI coiled cable because it looks more tidy for cable management. Good video sharing here.
Thanks, I agree with you - the cable should be coiled for better cable management, but I did not have one at that time unfortunately :-)
Great video, I think this is something ive been looking for. I just want to use my phone as a monitor and see all the settings.
Thanks, yes it can be helpful to have a bigger screen to monitor settings and focus in an easy way :-)
Too slow...keep lens upside down ...
Ok:)
Do you use the tether instead of the hdmi for a reason ?
I use tether because I want to transfer images directly to my editing software, like Lightroom. It makes the process faster from capturing to finished product. :-)
Its alright but would never call it good
well, sometimes good, other times not so good - it all depends on what is put together.
idk if it was just the phone but that shot looked so overexposed
exposure was not really the point of this video, but if you say so...
Thank you very much, I was able to clean the sensor :)
Thats nice:) thanks for watching:)
is it a full frame?
No, this is an aps-c
