The reference for this painting was taken at the Naples Botanical Garden. If your curious about the drawing, I generally tint my gesso (acrylic primer) toward a dominate color in my image. Often, I draw with a chalk pencil to get the basic composition worked out. The chalk is easy to see on dark surfaces and cleans up as I paint.

I try to keep these time-lapse video to 6 minutes. My wife and I spent a few days in the mountains of Georgia recently. It was beautiful! We are planning another trip to do plein air painting.
