Sean and Jimmy are the only ones who understand what a roast is.
I think it was just as harsh as the American version, but with more culture and less vulgarity. Although they can be just as crude, British comedians are masters of innuendo... when the forum calls for it... and when they want to be.
27:00 To see you roasted... roasted, nice!
The Comedy Central Roast are a lot worst
See Jonathan Ross giving Jon Culshaw the middle finger after calling him a pimp…..arrogant €unt
It's shows how old this video is, half the people in are dead and the careers of the other half are dead
Jonathan Ross doesn't have to impersonate Bruce Forsyth. They sound exactly the same. Even the same lisp.
Mr. Saturday night... I can't believe people watched that s#ite.
I love how Brucie laughs out loud throughout this.
Just watching him he was definitely a Jimmy Savile type 👀
The late, great Brucie. He was a class act that truly excelled live.
Bruce made himself look a twat at 27:10
People saying this isn't as harsh as the American ones, it's because British comedians genuinely have a love and respect for national treasures, if any of this lot wanted to seriously hurt you with words, they could do much better than Americans, who are for too literal, British comedians are much smarter with their put downs.

Next will be Jim davidson
Love how much Brucie laughed at this
Bruce's wife clearly loved him very much. I feel terrible for her being without him.
Stumbled upon this video a day after the sad passing of Sean Lock. Watching him roasting Brucie (at 12:48) reminds me how brilliant both of these men were. I hope that somewhere up there, a "Forsyth and Lock" cloud is currently being used as a comedy stage upon which Brucie and Sean are continuing their banter. Sorely missed, but hugely loved.
"It's so secluded even the grim reaper can't find it" was my favourite line of the night. 😅 R.I.P Sean Lock you funny git, and thank you for the laughs.
I'm reminded of Bruce saying he wanted the Sir Title for his wife Winnie to have on her card . I absolutely believe that . I think we all know how generous he was.
@@corryjookit7818 I'd love to see a biopic film made of Brucie's life. Imagine all of the things he saw over the stretch of his huge career! He worked with all the greats and he held on to his status right up to the very end. He could never be dethroned as one of the UK's absolute entertainment legends.
RIP Brucie, RIP Sean, and I’ve not checked the news today but just in case, RIP Barry Cryer
Thank you for posting this. I loved Bruce and never seen it before. RIP
I wonder if the poolboy is still stoking Mrs Forsyth
Is it true Bruce Forsyth use a lot of bad language
If you're going to get someone to do a voiceover and you want the "X-Factor" guy, just pay for the fucking "X-Factor" guy. Don't get in some sap to do a piss-poor impression of him. Couldn't watch any more after that. Hope the next 45 minutes wasn't as much of a let down.
Wtf you on about?
What happens in England.... should stay in England...??? Never heard of anyone but. Carr
That’s a u problem
Very male and stale panel of roasters
Please bring this back, they should've definitely cut the people's mics when they weren't on the podium. It's so annoying hearing they're comments. Also frankie boyle should definitely of done this.
So American !!! Come on we are British.
Rip Bruce you earned it ,simply the best because you really enjoyed a well paid job you were good at
love jack dee?
Anyone got a copy of the Chris Tarrant one? It appears to have been wiped from the face of the earth.
any chance you found one?

Shaun Locke stole it.
He is my cousin lol
@@jojowinters7138 and mine lol
@@gnosticwarrior2075 lol mine too what a world we live in ey?
holy shit what a fun family reunion i'm having with my cousins
Damn this is a hell of a thread to hit today.
The comment section here is like a really unoriginal shitty roast, come up with something better than "The US one's are better" if you're American and don't get some of the jokes then of course it's going too be better for you!
I have not laughed so much since my gran died
😶
Came for Jimmy... I'll just leave it there.
I think Jack Dee's was pretty good. Sean Lock's was slightly disappointing though :(
I love Sean lock more than I hate terrorism
I was enjoying that! it was funny until Cuĺshaw opened his mouth! He's just not funny! That's enough for Me thanks. Better is available at the touch of a button 😊
Well of course it doesn't have the bite associated with the American roasts but I suppose they felt they couldn't go too far with Brucie. A good effort, I seem to recall they did Barbara Windsor too, which was a little more risque but still not the real thing.
True, it wasn't terrible, but the American roasts* properly Roast!! The Pamela Anderson, Hasslehoff, Sheen and Trump roasts are especially good!! * That's not to say all American roasts are all good. Some of them roast unknown (to me) people with other unknown comics!
Didn't even kiss his wife on the lips????
She didn't want to vomit on telly.
Is Jack Dee a comedian?
🤦♂️
Jimmy, you didn't even get the nice to see you line right...
Jimmy Carr. What a prick.
Wonderful! This kind of roast is so much funnier and dare I say, more intelligent than the savagery that is the American style. RIP Sir Brucey.
Holy shit, Brucie destroyed! RIP to a legend
Lol to the few people defending this roast and saying the Comedy Central ones are too harsh or "embarrassing." No offense to the uploader at all, it's still appreciated, but this was wildly disappointing. I'd have much preferred 40 minutes of just Jimmy Carr---only quality stand-up comedian up there.
lol sean lock was better
People actually respect Bruce
You clearly haven't seen ricky Gervais m8
Rip bruce
Brilliant tribute to Sir Bruce Forsyth love the video and thanks for posting it
"Let's have a look at the old score board" lmao.
Jimmy Carr without a tie on? I don't think so...
Bruce's bit at the end was really funny. RIP Brucie, you'll be missed
If only Frankie Boyle was involved...
Tori Day he probably was. He is a writer mainly and I suspect he was involved somehow!
Ah man that would have been legen......dary.
Not any more....he's all far Left and crying over jokes that offend people
