This is what it was like during the war when Germany was bombed. We used to go to the bomb shelter when we heard the sirens. This was usually during the middle of the night. Once a small boy died because he was outside of the shelter and not protected. I also talk about some of the animals we raised at our house.

This was after the war. The allies had moved in. My sister lost her pet dog. I also talk about my nurse's' training. More difficult times but we survived.
