Since 1972, the Long Beach Rescue Mission has opened its doors to thousands of men, women and children. The mission provides food, clothing, shelter and spiritual guidance to the homeless and less fortunate people of the community.
The Long Beach Rescue Mission stands dedicated to helping individuals overcome the homeless cycle. We achieve long term goals and make a world of difference in today's society.

Long Beach Rescue Mission 2024 Christmas Toy Giveaway
This past Christmas celebration was such a special event here at the Long Beach Rescue Mission. We had so many amazing, sponsor, volunteers, and donors that made this event extra special for so many families. We can’t thank them enough.
Celebrating the birth of Christ together was a true blessing as we showed these families His love, shared words of encouragement, and prayed for those who are struggling. Together we are stronger.
We look forward to our continued partnership and to blessing more individuals and families through upcoming events.

Long Beach Community Foundation has selected Long Beach Rescue Mission for its 2017 National Philanthropy Day project, participating in outdoor renovation projects to provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for residents of the Lydia House for homeless women and children.
Vaughn's Story

After serving 10 years of a 50-to-life sentence for petty theft, Vaughn found himself at the Long Beach Rescue Mission, and stayed because of the love shown for him by the staff.

Vicky was confused about who she was when she came to Long Beach Rescue Mission's Lydia House. Through the demonstration of God's love shown her by the staff, she came to know of God's great love for her, and of the hope for future growth available through Him.
