Nice💛💛💛💙💛
I left a like and it still said zero likes. Thought you deserved one with what you she dealing with
Lol. Get stuck doing a pooo..
I have the same setup and fish I'm very surprised its been a month back all everything is same !😯
We should talk Noah from Ark BioAquatics
Thank one 😂
Why did you report it doofus?
Two things I do: 1) Integrate as much frozen & live foods as possible. 2) Apply wide variety of foods to my regimen. One thing you neglected to mention is the role of insects in fish diet. clearly freshwater fish eat myriad bugs. Are not processed foods like the popular "Bug bites" a healthy option?
it seems to me the GRAVEL causes more problems then it solves... it just holds stuff that you want syphoned out.. is bare bottom just safer and easier then gravel ?
How many gallons?
I live in Russia. The only commonly available foreign fish food brands now are Tetra and Sera, and even they almost double in price each year now. The most advertised Russian fish food is claimed to contain the following: 35% fish meal, 20% buckwheat flour, 10 % grass meal, 10% spirulina. This adds up to 75%. The package does not specify what the remaining 25% is, but cheaper fish food from the same manufacturer also admits containing stuff like wheat flour, soy meal and nettle, so one might assume the remaining 25% is that. Is it really awful ingredients for fish?
I think dyed fish should be banned everywhere
Texas
Terrible looking tank with some of the plainest fish you could get but a very good video I agreed with everything you said.
Can you recommend an affordable fish vet?
Sure! Contact the PiAA. What area are you in?
@@petindustryassociationaust6030 Sydney.
This is the same advice for all pet foods & our foods - The food industry as a whole is corrupted & using cheap chemicals over healthy alternative for profit - Wealth over Health !!
Please don't dump your fish like this, you guys. Goldfish can be highly invasive, they eat everything and don't stop growing. I wish I could grow my fish to that size at home like that lol
Aussie asians are funny asf
BlACK LIVES MATTER
Let's just ban cats... they're noxious!! FFS.
Great video and thank you for sharing
Personally I don't feed anything other than frozen or dried worms, shrimp, daphnia, etc.
I believe the point made. But realistically, there's no way for me as a customer, to properly evaluate fish food on offer ,for several reasons . I can't taste it. I don't know what the fish would naturally consume ,( since I have several kinds together). I don't know how much they ingest , (since they blow it out , or it drifts out into the tank. ) The packaging ,mode of delivery, and size are not optimal. So we dump in a vague amount of species- inappropriate ingredients that drift all over the place , goes stale , rots in the water, and congratulate ourselves on how informed we are. If they are starving , they may eat just about anything, so are we to figure that , since they ate some composite , we fed them well? Are rabbits supposed to eat 30% fish meal? Are cats supposed to eat 20% spirulina? What can I feed both my dog , And my parakeet? How much ash is acceptable for my pony? .. Here , is a barrel of mammal food, throw some, or all of it , on the floor near your pet. Bon appetit.
Fish meal is made by dragging nets across the bottom of the ocean and then grinding everything they catch into a paste, which is then dried to make “fish meal.” So you never know if you’re feeding your fish the last breeding pair of something rare and special.
I heard fish food goes stale eventually even if kept closed, so you don’t want to keep flakes for more than 30 days, whereas pellet types can go maybe 45 or 60 days.
You have seen that Co-Op video...interesting was it not ?
As someone also in Australia, how do you find these good foods?
Thank you for your honesty. Clearly the enemies of the hobby are the tropical fish manufacturers.
Are are good and bad apples in everything.
I suggest refining this origin comment. If nobody made aquariums then there wouldn’t be a hobby.
So true FatherFish
my fish prefer my home made salmon filet/lettuce/advocado/cucumber/carrot granules over my tetra food. Not sure if that means its healthier.
Try Dainichi or NLs
Veggies ❤I feed my fish peas bananas and blood worms sometimes pellets
Note taken. Thanks for the explaination. I used to be skeptical when people say any fish food is fine
Nice to see the plant growing setups
Great video Thanks for sharing 🙂
'Promosm' 😌
Sounds like a fantastic idea! Do we get complimentary champagne?
Can’t wait for the Sydney one.
Great video. I wish I could be there this year. With any luck, I will be able to have an exhibit next year.
So true ❤
We do appreciate your time and advice Paul. It’s a demanding hobby and a challenging business. The hobby would cease to exist without the LFS store. We spend hours trying to perfect and rectify, yet each LFS does that on a 24/7, 365 days a year basis. 5 stars to you and your team
I feel your frustration even saucing decent quality fish in Australia can be so dam hard as fish are bred over and over to related fish bleaching out the quality and the colure I cringe at what some people are doing here and overseas + mixing different species in the same tank and wondering why their fish are dying
Hey Paul great video I think every day people don't know the frustration of running a business and how hard it is to keep the doors open in the pet trade I bet you get people in all the time telling you that they can get this cheaper somewhere else I used to tell them well why didn't you get it from them Then they would buy it from you any ways .Dealing with people can be frustrating So keep up with the good work mate 👍
Great snap shot Paul. There are a lot of highs and lows, and you never know what the day will bring. I hope people will watch with empathy, as it can be very mentally draining. Most stores will do their best and want to provide a great experience.
100%. We frequently recommend customers to Auburn Aquarium, Aquaristic for items they specialise in and vice versa they have recommended us to many of their customers. We enjoy sharing ideas on whats working and what isnt. We are greatful that we have operators that love to spread the focus on giving customers the best advice.
That shits real U r unique
Best LFS ive ever been to was Lifestyle in Bundoora Melbourne. The staff are absolutely amazeballs. And Al's an absolute well of knowledge when shits going wrong.
I watched every second of this video. I was drawn in from start to finish.
Confusing, overly complicated and in the end, rubbish. Sorry Paul but this is mostly BS.
Thank you for this! There's not enough people speaking for fish. So much misinformation that leads to neglect and abuse. Fish deserve a good life too.
Yeah
Actually it is 88% of households don’t keep fish!
Informative and exciting, nice work!
