We had fun with this one! This is a song featured in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy - so we dressed the part. We even included Peter Quill's "improper hand gesture"! Our trombone player went as far as painting herself green (Gamora)! Check it out.
Gulfport New Horizons Jazz Band Plays Aston Gardens

This band is under the direction of David Pate, an amazing sax player in his own right. But this concert was at Aston Gardens and there was a special guest who lives there and attended - Dave's "Pops". The whole band did its best to make Dave's "Pops" proud of the work he's done with this band! Dave is an awesome director!

The original core Random Guys got back together to record this rock classic. Random Guys is a virtual band, formed during Covid, that is, literally, composed of random guys/gals depending on the song. But the five Random Guys on this video are original!

Thanks Brett. It seemed intimidating, but after your video it is easier than I thought. Just take my time on installing
You're welcome!
How is the pump holding up? I'm debating buying an OEM or Sierra? The OEM is 2x the price
Still working fine - so 2 years and still going ...
Thanks for the video it was helpful
how do you get the pulley off
I assume you mean after you get the bolts out of it? Mine took a little wiggling, but it came off without a fight. If the existing pump is marine, its shaft should be stainless so there shouldn't be any corrosion. Are you dealing with corrosion on the shaft? If so, I'd probably start with Master Blaster. Worse case I'd then use a pulley puller.
Fun Group and Nice Variety of Oktoberfest Music
I just got mine and it had the boot on the section your mentioned yours doesn't have...maybe u had a manufactured error or since the time gap they just thought it was smarter to put a boot on it
Great video. One of the best in explanations actually. Only thing I wish you did differently is, you didn't show how to adjust your camber if it was off. Since yours was at 1.2, you left it. My 67 has negative camber on just the left side. And I am looking for how to adjust it. I'm thinking to just turn the bolt with the offset washer. (Don't know the technical name of it).
Ah, good point. Yes, that eccentric bolt (with the cam on each end) is used to set camber. Loosen it, then turn the head to move the lower arm in/out to change the camber angle. That cam bolt is notorious for not holding its position - and I eventually experienced that. So I purchased a camber lockout plate to permanently fix the position of that bolt. It was a bit of trial and error finding the right bolt hole to use - but now it won't change.
Did this fix the tire rubbing issue? I installed larger tires on my 67 Mustang and am experiencing the same issue.
For the most part - it did. A big enough bump and the fenders will still hit the tires. But it had gotten to the point where even small bumps were causing the problem.
You are supposed to use Quicksilver perfect seal on the rubber rings. and the turbulator is to stop moister for collecting and going back into the manifold, it creates more exhaust pressure drawing any moister out of the exhaust system.
I love the finger snaps!
Nice of you to conserve electricity by not lighting up the area where you're recording.
Thank you for finding fault and, of course, sharing it through your sarcasm.
@@bretthusselbaugh1198 You don't see a problem with the lighting?
Brilliant! And all those saxes are in tune.
They sound dreadful…. They’re not even together
Yes, the New Horizons is a national organization aimed at helping adults who want to play an instrument or pick up their instrument again after years of being idle. But thank you for your kind words of encouragement.
I actually didn’t realize that….. For a social group k know it can be fun making music at all levels.
Thanks for the educational video. About to tackle this job myself. Question, when you removed the pump, you had some water from the engine, but my question is if I need to drain the coolant system if I'm going to do this job and replace the thermostat? BTW, I have a seawater cooling system with a heat exchanger. Thanks
If you have a closed cooling system (antifreeze in the engine separate from the seawater with a heat exchanger), then I would find a way to drain the coolant from the closed side before removing the circulating pump. Otherwise, yes, you'll have pretty much all the coolant in the engine empty into the bilge when you pull the pump. All my boats have been raw water cooled, so I'm not sure where the drain is for a closed system - but I'd look for the lowest point in the system.
@@bretthusselbaugh1198 Good information. Thank you for the quick reply. Cheers!
Did you have to cut the jack screw/bolt to get that compressor to work? The bolt is bottoming out hitting the spring perch on mine.
I did have to run the compressor as high in the spring as I could in order to keep it from bottoming out. I also released the tension from the anti-roll bar (mentioned that in the video) to allow the upper control arm to move down further (which allows the spring to decompress more fully, which allows you to get that compressor higher in the coils).
@@bretthusselbaugh1198 good point about the UCA's being in the lowest point. I have the sway bar out of the car. As best as I can judge from your video, that bolt does look a bit shorter. I will give it a go anyway. Thanks for the reply.
I'll add this hack for the long bolt spring compressor that I found last night in case others run in to this issue. th-cam.com/video/T6GAAG4rd8k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QAPGYJM2VquA__HB
Ok I believe you are a member of mensa a lot of useless information among the useful, you'll forget your lesson before your done learning
Thanks for post Brett. Out of curiousity, did you put any Permatex or sealant on the manifold prior to install? Thanks
I did not use any Permatex or any other sealant. Those gaskets sealed fine (I did make sure the surface were wire-brushed and perfectly clean.)
@@bretthusselbaugh1198 Awesome! Thanks for taking time to reply
Just subscibed. I have a 68..and i never want it to see the inside of a shop.
You forgot the exhaust flippers on the pipes
Actually my boat doesn't have those flappers.
What car lift is that.
I bought it many years ago and I don't remember exactly who made it - but I do think they are no longer available.
Had a great time watching this! Just a buncha Random Guys having fun with a song! Here's hoping you guys release more!
Thanks!
Thank you!! Just overhauled my front end suspension. Not a lot of classic alignment shops out there.
Live at Budokan, at the end of the song they alternated Solos, Lead Guitar, Rhythm guitar, bass and drums. I can understand why there wasn't two different guitar solos, but the bass didn't have any solo. Just the guitar and drummer. Either way a good cover.
sounding fabulous
Great video
Thanks!
Wow thank you for the step by step video. Very informative 👍
Straight forward and to the point. Great how to.
Great video I need to do this to my 5.7 mercruirr
That lift looks pretty handy. Does it raise the car up on it's own or how does it work? Very informative video btw, thanks for posting this
The lift needs a floor jack to raise it. Then it locks into place. Thanks!
One end of the lift retracts to the floor. You drive on it, then jack up the lower end using a regular floor jack. Once raised, you lock the tucked legs in place and lower the floor jack. It's very handy.
Did you jack the front end using the cross member or do you has the pinch weld pads for your floor jack? How has this DSS driveshaft worked for you?
I put jack stands under the pinch welds at the jack points for the front. Usually jack stands under both sides of the solid axle tube for the rear. I've had no problems with the driveshaft.
I like that Bari players sandals.
Nice cover
Thanks!
Sweet cover my friends! You played well!! Keep up the good work!!🎸
Thanks a lot!
Really enjoyed the medley of Christmas songs. You sound great, and looks like fun!

Stressful working just above the water but you did great ! Thanks for sharing !

Wow-Great Sax solo!

So WOULD this work for the 94 mustang gt 5.0HO or only at start up?
This works on any Ford pushrod engine (non-modular). Quick research shows Ford did not introduce modular engines in the Mustang until 1996, so your 1994 5.0 should be a standard 302 pushrod engine. Does it have a distributor? If so, the distributor drives the oil pump and that engine should be pre-oiled before starting.
@@bretthusselbaugh1198 you know I decided to try this counterclockwise as said and nothing comes up on top.. I did do a oil filter relocator and when I try and prime it is going through the oil filter but again nothing up too. This was a donor motor from the 94 mustang gt. New oil pump and again it’s getting to the oil filter but nothing up top?
Hmm. How much resistance are you feeling on the drill? When the pump finally primes it takes quite a bit of counter torque to keep the drill from spinning in your hands. What weight oil (I'm usually using 30 weight break-in oil). It does take quite a while for oil to start coming down the rockers. @@Tantobuds619
@@bretthusselbaugh1198 I got it! Cough cough the relocation oil lines we’re reversed. Oil is flow now!
OK! Good deal! Good thing you worked through that before starting the engine.@@Tantobuds619
🙂 "PromoSM"
That was very very informative, I will be changing mine this winter . Thank you so very much. 😂
Thank you and you're welcome!
Great video. I'm not an AC technician but I've used this trick in the past with success. In a pinch, if you determine that the condenser fan motor has failed and you are waiting for the AC repairman to arrive to check out the unit, (Sometimes can take a day or two), you can temporarily place the largest box fan you may have laying around the house, on top of the condenser and exhaust enough of the heat out of the condenser in order to get some AC relief inside the house. Just a thought.
Great tip!
It's also good to turn the crank shaft a few times while doing this to get oil coated over rod journals, bearings and other parts, assuring you have no dry spots for the first firing..
Great job!
Dude, you just lay your shit on his carpet, WTF? I can see your greasy mess all ready, you are not a pro!
Great video!!! Thanks it helped me a lot.
