No, you will not hurt your engine by going to 0W-40 oil. 0W-40 flow more easily, especially at cooler temps. The only thing with 0W-40 is if you have any oil leaks it will find it :-) This is the oil that your car calls for, so I recommend that you use what the manufacturer specifies. The only thing I argue with manufacturer specs are fluid change intervals. More frequent changes of fluids are always better for the engine or transmission.

@@azaz5510 I do my oil changes every 6K miles and engine coolant every three years. Transmission service every 30 to 40 K miles and brake flush every 3 years.

When the o-ring fails on this very cheap to replace part, the plug leaks and oil makes its way up to the transmission control module. If this happens, you may be able to flush out the control module with electronic connector cleaner and let it dry out overnight.

Brake cleaner works great, but be sure to change out the oil.

Hello, my main cats are starting to rattle too. You can get aftermarket cats from RockAuto.com or www.fcpeuro.com/ If you take out all cats it will not pass inspection if they check to see if your check engine light is on. That's the way it works here in New York State anyway. I've been really busy but I will do a quick walk around of it for you shortly . I have a load of work to do on three cars when the weather warms up here an 08 Chevy Impala, head gaskets, E430 springs, struts, tie rod ends, CV Axles, brakes, lower ball joints, upper control arms. I need to get to the bottom of a rough idle on the E320, either an open or clogged exhaust recirculation valve, bad MAS air flow sensor, or failing coil. Some of these guys go crazy with the impact guns. That can warp your rotors and also elongate the studs causing a danger of failure. Beside the fact that you'll never be able to get them off at the side of the road if you get a flat.

his engine would not catch at all, the clutch sprags were not grabbing at all.

There are a few issues that need addressing, cam chain tensioner, chain jump guard and the abs pumps can go.
