It cost 270 QAR or $74 USD for paid lounge access. I think it's worth it because paying for a shower and eating at Doha is very expensive. The airport can be crowded as all Qatar Airways flights lands and depart at the same 4 hour slot twice a day.

On a typical day, I sat in Ocean Plaza on Deck 2 after breakfast to read and people watch. There are plenty of lounge area on Deck 10 and Deck 11 to get away from the crowds. The cruise I went on was not that crowded and I find the tropical heat of Papua New Guinea unbearable. I find Deck 2 is a perfect combination to people watch without the heat.

This cruise occurred exactly one year ago from Sydney to Melbourne. I recorded this quite early in the morning. Something like 4:45 AM. From memory, the promenade deck is crew only at the bow of the ship.

Coffee, tea, water and if you ask the waitstaff in the buffet they'll get you a glass of lemonade.

The basic stuff like coffee, tea and water dispensed from in the buffet is included in your base fare. You will need to pay for bottled water. Princess like to up sell you to the Princess Plus package where alcohol is included (to a certain amount). At the time of cruising, I paid $20 AUD extra per day for wifi because I don't drink alcohol. My friend upgraded to "Princess Plus" costing an extra $60 AUD per day because of table delivery. The Medallion allows the crew to locate you anywhere on the ship when you order food or drinks on the app.

Entry to the lounge was complimentary with my Diners Club card. I believe the fee now is $56 USD. There is only one shower for male and one for female with cleaning in between. You just have to tell the attendant and they'll call you once ready. Nothing beat a shower after a 7 hour flight and before another 14 hour connecting flight.

I find the terminal is a bit far from everything.

I find it is easier filming when everyone is asleep so I don't have to blur out other passenger's faces. It also allows me access to areas normally closed off during the day.

The ship's speed is in knots but easier to equate that speed in km/h. At top speed the ship's speed was 18 knots or 35km/hr or 21.8 miles per hour.

I find the only way to film the ship without upsetting camera shy passengers and crews is to be up at 4am. 😅 I still have not found a discreet way to film the buffet yet.

I am going to attempt the Summit Walk in May this year.

It is a fantastic track, and I will attempt to complete the entire 22km track again.
