Because adam to some degree understands sketch comedy which is nothing like animation they have very different "languages" or styles of joke telling Adam clearly does not understand this and is trying to squeeze a round shaped sketch comedy joke into a star shaped animation hole and it clearly doesn't work Some ideas don't translate well to other media there's plenty of tv shows and books that arent suitable for a full length movie and an endless amount of short stories and poems that only make sense in there original form
