I’ve taken all 5 and nothing bad happened to me, calculus is a must if you’re doing STEM track so don’t say avoid that class, you might say consider thoroughly before taking it. The material is pretty easy although the workload was a bit heavy if I remember correctly.

I have an AP world teacher I had last year that I talk to about college every day this year. According to him in florida standardized tests are becoming the most important thing compared to extracurriculars and GPA. I was also told this by my counselor.

extracurriculars/personal statements > grades > letters of rec > tests ofc

The extracurriculars and personal statements matter more than grades. Ofc you still need good grades, but a lot of people can get good grades, so you stand out more with what else you do in clubs/volunteering/projects and what your life story is. Nowadays, people who are “perfect” academically get rejected to top schools over students who have decent grades but good personal statements or background

I personally dont agree because people who do the bare minimum with barely passing grades can get into decent colleges, and acceptance letters do help. People i know who used to be a part of geoforce and had acceptance letters written to the college actually had a higher chance of getting in than people with the same grades that weren't a part of geoforce. Im saying this because i was asked of my thoughts 😊
