@@ExoShield Thank you for clarifing things so quickly, I'm now debating paying the local tint shop guy. We're setting up our Jeep Gladiator to be flat towed behind our RV and I forsee that flat windshield getting chipped alot being towed.

Hey I did reach out to them. They said it was my fault basically. You guys have a pretty funny warranty. You say it’s covered for two years. But nothing is actually covered. My view has been warped since installation and even the installer just said. “It’s like that. “ I wish there was a solution to it. I still have it in my car. Because it does protect form the elements. But I do not have a prestige clear view. There is some distortion in my view. Most recently the installer tried to polish out any imperfections. But also said it was cost me full price to replace it. Which I think is unfair. As it was supposed to be covered for two years.

Our warranty covers manufacturer issues like discoloration, hazing, and peeling. The 2 year lifespan is an average based on driving conditions, combined with how the vehicle is cared for. It sounds like your ExoShield install has provided protection to your windshield for 2+ years, and now it's time to swap it out for a fresh piece to keep your glass protected for another 2+ years!

That doesn’t change the face that the view is distorted. People should probably get the new xpel windhaiel protection. To avoid that. It doesn’t need to be heated.

@@seths-bullitt similar to how phone screen protectors work, the manufacturers warranty does not cover wear and tear / damage. The answer is no, clean wipers won’t scratch the film. Great Question! Yes, the liner stays on while you shrink / mold ExoShield Windshield Protection film. The liner remains attached until you have the film fully formed and are ready to install it onto the glass.

The tools we supply in the ULTRA tool kit are created with materials designed to not scratch the surface of the film during installation. There is a chance that the film could scratch from debris being stuck in the squeegee while applying the pressure needed to get the moisture out from behind the ULTRA. Making sure to always wet the surface of the film while you're squeegeeing will help avoid this! If the squeegee itself feels rough on the edge of the blade an imperfection on the squeegee itself could create a light scratch during the heavy squeegee passes, this is why we provide 2 squeegees in the tool kit! Hey! Fair question. We released these kits for the exact reasons you mentioned. They're super flat which makes them prone to chipping. Tiny... sure compared to other windshields, but have you ever tried putting on a phone screen protector? When paired up with our DIY kits, these windshields are easy enough that someone who has never installed film before can get a great result (make sure to watch our installation videos first!)
