    Glad I found your video. The wind curled 4 stripes of my aluminum. Thought I'd replace it with vinyl. Nope! Luckily for me the neighbors had their aluminum, same type same color, replaced with vinyl. The siding crew was kind enough to save me 5 good full length pieces. Now I can tackle it knowing how. Thanks!

    thank you for helpful video. In this regard I have faced a issue. An split AC was installed wituoud using a vaccume pumpe instead it was done by refrigerator compressor. So the according to your video the moistuer probably will left inside the AC circulation. Is there any solution to remove it?

  • @paulsmith9574
    @paulsmith9574 ปีที่แล้ว

    By the way, in Florida you need a permit from the communist county dictators to do anything to your home. That includes any work done to windows, doors, or yes, siding. I am surprised a permit isn't required to hang a picture inside on your wall. I highly doubt the county would approve of that technique of replacing a section of siding. You need an engineering drawing, zoning and work permits to do any work, which makes repair cost twice as much. A simple small job all of a sudden is an unreasonable cost to do. No wonder homeowner's insurance is so high. One has to do the work on the sly, at dusk, or over night, and hope no nosy neighbors report you. Then pretend it already looked like it does now. Yes, I had a nasty experience with the county. I previously did't know the county had their own gestapo squad with brown suits, ready to fine you thousands if you don't play their game.

      @@patrickg7569 I found it at ABC supply in Houston! The only trick that looks so easy that was so hard for me was getting that corner popped loose with the handy tool. I used thick coat hanger wire but it tended to bend. I eventually got it loose. Fortunately I’m painting the house and didn’t have to worry about the scuffs I made on paint removing it. Thanks again this is the only video I know of that shows how to deal with the old stuff. Got a quote of $600 to replace two panels. I did it myself for $40. 👍

      Yes it is lol. Today I called probably 12 different "Aluminum Sales" and other Siding companies... My Clients have Double lap 4" Aluminum siding and have 2 deleted windows! There was absolutely no one, after calling every one of those companies... Everybody told me that there was NO Aluminum siding and I was certainly unlikely to find it. I was just about to give up... But I swear sometimes I have a 6th sense, like I can smell that there's more.... And so Luckily I asked someone at lowes who actually knew of a building products company who had 130 pieces! Lesson Learned: Do your due diligence before taking on a job!

    hi ..as we know, the moisture inside the refrigerant system can damage the compressor..So, how to identify if there any moisture that exist inside the refrigerant system?? is there any alternate prevention or method to avoid the moisture from damage the compressor from the early stage??

    • @patrickg7569
      @patrickg7569 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      On a sealed system, there would have to be a sight glass on the liquid line to help identify any moisture. Also the filter dryer should be installed to help with any contamination. If the system is a new install or has been opened up, a good vacuum close to 500 microns should assure that all moisture has been removed.
