The Christopherson Center works with New York State organizations and municipalities to support a climate resilient built environment with initiatives underpinned by equity, engagement and economic vitality.
The Christopherson Center honors and continues the life’s work of internationally renowned economic geographer Susan Christopherson (1947-2016), former chair of the Department of City and Regional Planning at Cornell University. Dr. Christopherson’s focus on regional economic development, the well-being of communities, energy policy, and public engagement informs the Christopherson Center’s efforts.
