What If Mortal Kombat Had Real Martial Artists?
Ever wondered what Mortal Kombat would look like if it featured the world’s most iconic martial artists? This video is my ultimate concept of Mortal Kombat with Real Martial Artists-bringing together legendary fighters and modern martial arts masters on the classic character selection screen. I poured my heart, dedication, and hours of hard work into making this unique video, crafting everything from scratch to create a fun, action-packed experience that honors both Mortal Kombat and the martial arts world.
To create this, I used a blend of advanced tools and creativity: RunwayML for animating still images, KlingAI to bring realistic character movements, Premiere Pro and Photoshop for seamless editing and graphic design, Midjourney for AI-generated backgrounds, and ChatGPT for brainstorming ideas and refining concepts. I even scoured Google to find the best images of each martial artist, transforming them from static photos into dynamic animations. Every clip started as a still image of the actor, martial artist, or actress, which I then brought to life with AI-showcasing each character’s style, power, and iconic look.
Characters Featured:
This Mortal Kombat selection screen includes legends like Bruce Lee, Bolo Yeung, Jackie Chan, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Michelle Yeoh, Scott Adkins, Jet Li, Michael Jai White, Lucy Liu, Wesley Snipes, Tony Jaa, and more. With each fighter embodying a unique martial art style, the selection screen is packed with diversity-showing styles like Jeet Kune Do, Wing Chun, Muay Thai, Karate, and more. The locked characters represent endless possibilities of additional fighters who could be unlockable through gameplay, story mode, or as purchasable DLC, sparking ideas for an even more expansive roster!

Haha that was a genius thought man! For sure, I love this version of Liu Kang, mk9 characters were so good, I miss this era and storyline. But MK is def my favorite martial arts fighting game... I really enjoy playing Mortal Kombat (2011) Komplete Edition or mk9 which they should have just called it but I get it, it was a remake of all the old games to retell the story as they entered the new era of CGI 3D graphics..

i totally agreed that an Jeet Kune Do practitioner would win against an MMA fighter! But I do believe an Jeet Kune Do should cross train in Submission Wrestling for ground fighting and American Kenpo for circular strikes, I'm sorry just giving my opinion that could help Jeet Kune Do practitioner be an all round fighter.
I totally agree! That's why bruce lee was so well rounded, its cause he trained in everything, and most martial artist around that time and even today are bound to one style. (Not everyone) but a lot of them, and JKD are taught to practice everything and see what actually works, and discard everything that does not. Also JKD is not a style, a lot of JKD martial artist forget that or treat it as its a style, its not a style, its a philosophy. They are better calling them selves simply Martial Artist, and when people ask them they should say that and also add what kind of arts they have learned, such as wing chun, karate, BJJ, or JJ, Chinese martial arts, grappling, wrestling, western boxing etc. whatever it maybe, and then correct people who refer to there style as JKD and remind them its not a style. The reason I use the name is to have something to refer to when speaking about Bruce Lee's Kung fu, or my own just so people will know that I study under his philosophy. But that's not enough to do it right, so an explanation is important. Without understanding its not a style we clearly don't understand.
