I can understand Michael Landon's desire to preserve the memory of the show, but I can understand their mixed feelings about the destruction of the set and how it can feel like it was a selfish thing to do, because blowing up the sets just seemed to be an awfully extreme decision. Everything could have been disassembled and reconstructed onto a more permanent location where visitors could be received, since they had to leave that land as they originally found it. It did allow the show to, quite literally, go out with multiple, gut wrenching, emotional bangs for us fans! It was just so unforgettably shocking! He was such an amazingly talented artist and human being on so many levels, but, based upon the interviews of fellow cast members, he also seemed to be somewhat tight fisted and controlling with some of his decisions, such as this one. The complete demolition decision appears to be so short sighted, if not a little petty, for Michael Landon, a creative and innovative man of vision, which gives reason to wonder if there is more to this story than we know. My intention is not to be disrespectful or condemning, I am just stating my opinion based upon observation of the facts as I know them. Regardless, I love his work, and wish there were more wonderful shows being created and cast by people as talented and creative as Little House and the people involved!

Such a fantastic video. It's very refreshing to see, "Nellie Olson and "Laura Ingalls" having a regular conversation while sitting at the table. I'm a 60 year old man; the same age as they, and still a fan of the show.

We love you so much, sincerely. i remembre 1974 when I followed you every Sunday at 6 p.m. Moroccan clock when i was ten . I need to cry. Ô my God, it's so nostalgic, so dramatic. I feel good, I love this serie with Ingalls familly : charles, Caroline, laura, Mary, Carrie..., and Ms and Ladie Olson , Nancy familly, reverand, Doctor, Professor, leyer, Walnut Grove magic village...and all villagian people so suit. I think that actually, it's unique and no one of this generation can gives how much value it important to education of children and to our society and relationsheaps as peace and good feeling happy. Thank you and hundred thank you to producer, to all actors and staff of the serie "" little house on the prairie"" since 1974 to 1983. I woude like meet these magnific actors, if possible, in my country, Morocco. Best regards.

I watch this show faithfully when it first come on through the years and seasons. I am the same age as Melissa Gilbert born in 1964. Little House and The Waltons was two of my favorite shows through the 1970's and early 80's.
