The best adventures are the ones you share...
French Alps Lac Blanc mountain activation 2017
One of our favourites mountain days during our June 2017.
Lac Blanc sits high above Chamonix and gives you some breath taking views. A serious Mountain day with snow and a fair bit of easy scrambling along with the odd ladder.

Did you need to disconnect the battery before removing seat
No I didn’t need to as the loom was already located under the floor When the swivel plate was fitted hope that helps 👍
Hi there, with what tool and how did the final bolt get removed? Did it require cutting with a saw or simple unscrewing?
Just needed a extra deep socket to get access they are standard hex Bolts so no need to saw hope that helps 👍
How big are the bolts under the seat?
Mike they are double studs M10x21/M10x17 hope that helps
@@stevewatson2581 thanks Steve. Massive help 👍
how did you get the floor bolts out please? was it from underneath the van or just using a spanner from inside the cab?
All accessed from inside the van as they rounded I had to use a deep socket and an adjustable wrench one bolt is hidden you have to turn the swivel plate until the hole becomes Visable 👍
Where’s all the fusebox and wires from under you’re double seat?
They are tucked under the new swivel there is a slit in the floor covering which allows the loom to pass through there is a depression in the floor just enough space to house it.
Very informative and easy to understand, thanks for help.
David Courtney So pleased the video was useful looking forward to getting back out with the van soon 👍
Hi there nice video, where did you get your single seat base ?
Cheers mate for the vid. Allowed me to swop out my double for a single seat in double quick time. Thanks again
Glad that helped all the best!
did you have to put the van on ramps to remove the extra bolts? I need to replace a couple of mine. Thanks
andypolfers no all bolts accessible from inside glad you found video useful 👍
Thanks for your vid, was quite useful to me! :) Where did you get the single swivel seat base & seat?
Glad it was useful the seat swivel was from Kiravans and I got the seat via an Ebay source shipped from Poland. Hope that helps good luck with you project.
Good effort there! Might well get the T2LT out portable myself soon. 73s
That was naughty Steve, I thought that was an intro to a great video. Got ready to watch that, caught me out good and proper! :)
nice.. looks good :)
We were up to a height of 2200 meters very warm day so glad to say some height was gained using the mountain train. The Glacier seen in the film is the Mer de Glace or Sea of ice just a truly amazing place. We only meet a hand full of people on the mountain due to the snow conditions some pretty airy slopes.
What camera are you using?
+Radiolite.pt using a gopro 3 silver.
A good job done Steve! I'll be over for a nosy at some point!
+V8CSW Cheers Jason chuffed to get my CTX and perhaps meet you up the hill sometime!

Bit misty Steve..yep good video.as u say sound needs improving..ct 141
+sidandmarj Thanks Sid I was using a waterproof case hence the sound quality but we live and learn.
Thanks Marc shame about the sound first time using my GOPRO it seems they are not that great for sound when inside the all weather case. Got a external mic but also need to use with a skeleton housing which should sort the sound quality issue. It was a bit of a wild day up there but worth it looking forward to doing more portable work this year.
Nice vid steve. cracking location and good activation . nice job 👍
