After being out of fishing for 20 years caring for my wife , im now in a position to go fishing again , theres so many carp fishing Anglers But Ian in my opinion is the nicest most genuine Carp Angler there is , great fishing m8 , and thx to you ive rekindled my love of fishing again , cant wait to start again .. Because its been so long since i last fished , please coyld you give some advice on gear , would you say a 12ft - 13ft 3.5 test curve rod and a 1000 size reel would be ok to start up again , any advice at all would be great thank you once again ... jules

I still fish everywhere at 17 wraps because of the spots in this swim. Even 10 years later on lakes over a million acres. 17 wraps is where it goes - the perfect distance to fish! Peg 10 & right hand island had spots at that distance too.

All the money that place takes week in week out still you have to spend your time wallowing around in mud pit swims…..in this day and age they should keep up with the times…..plenty other cheaper day ticket venues have more attractive ground to camp on be it shingle.plainings or chippings. Pigs live in mud,not people
