Dear Matara. You're the type of woman I would ACTUALLY REALLY want to run into, I feel you're rare, honestly. I'm an extremely socially awkward guy, I can barely talk to people without messing up somehow, and for better for worse, I'm unique in personality. So I know a lot of people would find me weird, nerdy, annoying, mean, or just unrelatable. But even if I tried more socially, I'm almost positive it wouldn't help a thing, a lot of women just don't like men. They don't like men that try hard, and they don't like men that don't try at all, it's impossible. So when I see a woman like you, being... Y'know, sweet, outgoing, kind, funny and just all of the above. It makes me happy, because it seems like you at least try to understand men AND women, not just one. I don't really watch Vtubers, but this is some real talk.

My first and only relationship was in my senior year of high school. As a big, shy, nerdy guy, I was very hesitant to try and connect with new people. By chance I met someone who I thought was just amazing. We hit it off well and eventually found ourselves dating. Slowly, things went south, and I wound up being manipulated, abused, and isolated from my friends and family. I'm a bit of a naive gentle giant, and I just wanted people to be happy, so I stuck with it and worked even harder to try and make things work. Needless to say, my body eventually couldn't keep up anymore. It's been a couple of years, and I consider maybe trying again. But a part of me is just so terrified of going through a similar experience - I still get panicked by some things - like certain words, patterns, or smells. I just feel like nobody would ever want me because I'm broken or something. Sorry for the depressing story, I just truly don't know how or what I do anymore and would appreciate any guidance

I think another big reason why men don’t want to approach. At least for young men we literally have no confidence in this economy because we are broke, can’t afford a house to bring our lady into, a nice car, nice dates, etc. if any guy is I envy them because that’s the only thing stopping me from approaching. It seems to me that dating was ruined by Covid. The lockdown completely mutilated my incredibly fragile social ability. It doesn’t seem unlikely that Covid would’ve shattered many others social life. The worst of it is that for many of the younger generation the lockdowns hit at a pivotal moment for social development, and they’ve yet to recover.
