Glock Clones: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Regardless of what they advertise, Glocks aren’t perfect. In this video I delve into the various Glock clone frames I’ve tried while searching for perfection. Some failed miserably, but others came close. #gunreview #holosun507 #gunreviews #rugerrxm #secondamendment #2ndamendment #rugerpistol #ipscshooting #uspsaopen #swampfoxoptics #gritgrips #sctmanufacturing #combatarmory @make_ready_firearms

Table Talk - Ruger RXM | Second Impressions - Still a Winner
มุมมอง 2.3K12 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Some of the best gun related conversations I’ve ever have taken place while I’ve been sitting around a table at the range, hence the “Table Talk” title for this and future videos. In this video I give some more thoughts about the RXM after shooting another 400 or so rounds over the last few days. The RXM isn’t perfect, but it comes closer to perfection than any other Glock or clone. #gunreview ...

Part 2 of the review: th-cam.com/video/39k3mpXu8dU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fep7-_yHvMw3OdkJ I like Glocks, but they aren’t perfect. In a never ending search for a better “Glock”, I’ve bought a bunch of Glock clones. The Ruger RXM, from the first impression and first shots, is hands down the best clone I’ve tried and I think it out-Glocks the Glock. I’m looking forward to seeing what this Ruger/MagPul col...

*has industry leaders and team guys confirm and torture test the new optic system* Some fudd:nah I don’t trust it
Enjoy mine, got it for Christmas. $330
Do you have any experience with Lone Wolf Timeberwolf frames?
I do not. From the pictures, they suffer from the same problem I have with the Dusk19 frame.
Magpul mags are okay.
I use them a lot. Especially the 27 round mag for USPSA. They just don’t like this Blazer aluminum ammo.
The gap between the frame and the slide in the front drives my OCD nuts.
I’ve heard that from other people, but I am about as far from having OCD as one can be so I don’t notice it. 😂
It's hard out there to be a sperg!
Thank you for pointing out the optic height to the rear sight. Nobody has really said or shown anything like that. I want to eventually co-witness the irons with a red dot.
I like my irons to be low In the window like the lower 1/3 or lower 1/4 of the window. Any higher and they just become a distraction. I think the deck height of the 507c (.350) would be about perfect for me using the irons on the RXM. Enough of the sights to be useable, but not enough to distract.
Strike Industries just came out with their own as well.
I saw that. Looks like they fixed the undercut. But I wished they did something with the magwell.
Vortex defender
Getting a Defender is on my list of things to get and test. Just haven’t figured out which yet.
Have you seen the new Strike Industries frame
I saw the email from PA about them. It looks like an SCT frame they updated. The undercut under the trigger guard looks better, but I wish they would have done something with the magwell.
Magpul Tactical Pro 1913 frame $ 59.99 coming in 2025 suckers
Wish it was ported or comp’d.
I imagine they’ll come out with a factory comped or ported option down the road. Seems to be the latest trend. I may have @pewpewcnc port mine down the road. He’s ported 3 or 4 for me already and I’ve been very happy with his work.
Lmao what guns are coming with factory ports or comps for $399 other than the dagger?
A magpul collab gun that doesnt function reliably with magpul magazines.. geezus. I dont really set my expectations too high for aesthetics when comes to Ruger.
@@vaughnsadekni665to be fair, those same MP mags worked with brass cased ammo. Just not the aluminum cased ammo. The next case I break open will be brass cased so I’ll pull those mags out to see how the gun runs with them.
What do you think about the P80 serialized frames? I got some prior to them going out of business. I haven’t had a chance to do anything with them yet but love the texture, grip angle, and overall feel of it. I hope they are reliable. Lol
Wjere did you acquire the striker control device? It was out of stock everywhere I looked.
I like my glocks, Im keeping my glocks. BUT i will never buy another glock again. On my way to a third RXM 🙈🤠
Part 2 of my review can be found here: th-cam.com/video/39k3mpXu8dU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fep7-_yHvMw3OdkJ
It’s funny, I have only had luck with AL cased ammo using Pmags! Generally I avoid the stuff, but somebody gave me a few boxes...
It’s been hit or miss for me. This current crop is in the miss category.
Lucky 7s look much flatter. Noticable pulling the trigger?
Yes. Very much so. The dot tracks much better with the inline ports.
How do you make a glock 26L?
Put a 19 side on the 26 frame lol
Take a Glock 26 gen 3 or 4 frame, add a G19 gen 3 or 4 top end. There will be a gap between the end of the slide and the end of the dust cover. To fill the gap, buy an adapter from lone wolf distributors (there are a couple other places making them, but I use LWD. You can use either a Gen 3 or Gen 4 slide on either Gen 3 or Gen 4 frame. LWD makes adapters for both. You can use a Gen 3 or 4 top end on a G26 Gen 5, but don’t do it with a Gen 5 19 top end due to the ambi cutouts on the slide. Theoretically, the slide could jump off the front rails because of where they are located on the G26 frame. The G26L in that picture probably has upwards of 10k rounds through it. lonewolfdist.com/parts/slide-parts/slide-adapters/
@@Brandon.214well, ya. Thats part of it. 😂
@ 1:15 I have watched multiple reviews on this gun and I have seen this same exact malfunction on several occasions. I really wanted to pick this one up but that malfunction seems to be very common. Disappointing.
I’ve seen other videos with the same malfunction. I’d be worried about mine if it had been happening with multiple magazines. I narrowed it down to just one particular MagPul mag. If I start having mag/slide stop related issues with other magazines I’ll start getting worried. I’ve had issues with aluminum and steel cases ammo in MagPul magazines on multiple occasions with several different pistols some can’t say I was surprised. My MagPul mags really hate Russian steel cased ammo.
I believe the reason why they went with the Gen 3 and not the Gen 4 or 5 is because the Gen 3 is the variant that had its patent expire. Solid review. Subscribed. 👍🏻
Thank you.
New frames are already out
I saw the compact (G19) on their website, but haven’t seen the other sizes anywhere.
@Gunsnobbery My bad that's what it was.
@@thevicanddomshowI was hoping you saw something I didn’t. 😂
0:45 interesting. So it functioned fine with the same ammo just using G19 mags?
Yes. After the 3rd time that happened, I pulled the MagPul magazines and replaced them with 15 and 17 round OEM mags and shot probably another 300 rounds without issue. The first rounds I shot out of it (before I started videotaping) were 21 rounds from a MagPul 21 rounder and had no issues. Same ammo that I was using in the 15 rounder mag when it jammed.
i’ve heard there’s something going on with the slide stop and certain magazines. it’s almost like some ammo loves the Magpul mags and other ammo likes the Glock mags. I’m hoping we figure it out what’s going on. something with the way the slide stop interacts with the top left hand front edge of the magazines
@@johnviera3884on mine, I only had issues using the Blazer aluminum cases ammo. The same MagPul magazines worked fine with brass cased ammo. I’m not gonna worry about it until I start having issues with brass cases ammo.
Very fine shooting in the opening scene - not typical of most reviews.
Thank you
They didn’t do anything gen 4 . They would get sued the patent is still active
Interesting. I was thinking specifically about a Gen 4 style magazine release like GritGrips and LoneWolf have done with their frames.
@@Gunsnobberyand Nomad has an all gen5 frame.
THE SCD FITS?!? Hell yeah dude thanks, now I'm even more motivated to pick one up!
@@andrewcramer7214 yes it did. It’s a nice bonus.
Just curious to see if you experienced any accuracy issues with your Lucky 7’s/Brownells slide? Let me know👌🏽
I just can’t tell maybe a ltlke softer with the 15 but that may be cause a slower rtb buts just a guess - every round cycled in the test but did you notice any failure one vs the other - I’m tuning mine on the exact same setup and was looking around when I saw your video
@@sidanx7887 I didn’t see any failures or a slower RTB w the 15. It’s really hard to see the benefit to using the 15 unless you can see the dot movement in the glass. The dot settles back quicker with the 15
@@Gunsnobberyok I’ll give it a try
Did you change guns?
I switched top ends and the problem went away.
@@Gunsnobbery I was curious how you like the swampfox
I really like it. Only have @400 rounds through it, but my original Justice has held up for several thousand rounds.
Only put 4 rounds in number 5.
Ya. I saw that when I reviewed it earlier. I ran the CD 8 times total between my 2 revolvers and I did the same thing one other time. No idea why I miscounted. 🤷🏼♂️
Which one is which?!?
Stock on the left. Ports on the right.
Need a crono. Ported barrels lose a lot of velocity
Look further on my channel. There is a chrono. Loses @50fps. Still in the acceptable range for performance.
th-cam.com/video/JqojiWwRdE4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=L6jAH0TSiE-_Z6Kl
False
That’s fuddlore
What's your definition of "a lot"???
The Ramjet takes longer to get back on target, rise is about the same
Not bad. I especially liked how he kept his firearm pointed down range on turning corners.
I got both. I love both.
both on the same gun? Serious question. I want both on one Glock
@@JWilliamsWorldWide you wouldn't be the first
Cool
you can see the ramjet muzzle rise is about a quarter inch more and bounces once on the return to zero
Came here to say this. The ramjet definitely bounces
Agreed. That’s why I prefer the Lucky 7s. Got a G47 getting 7’d right now. I’ll post some more vids when I get it back.
Not good, not good
Fucking magical!!!!!!!!!
I'm not going to lie, I bought the Ramjet etc. I see no difference between these to clips
The side profile video only tells part of the story. Hard to video the dot actually tracking up and down. Where the comp/port really becomes apparent as an advantage is when you individual shoot drills “side by side” with a comp/port v. non-comp/port barrel. I shave about 2 seconds off my Casino drill times running the Lucky 7/Ramjet/JTTC.
I see No different too
from the video look like Hollywood bullshit
grip position key, other than that, the same...
Ports returns to zero faster
No different
I agree that from the side it’s hard to see any difference. Looking through the optic and tracking the dot I can tell a difference. With the Lucky 7s the dot tracks pretty much straight up and down. The Ramjet had more of a “V” tracking pattern.
@@Gunsnobbery well thats great cause i have one on order 🤣
@@Gunsnobbery which one do you prefer or would recommend?
@@awokeone7997 that depends. The Lucky 7s porting is my preference if there are no other considerations to think about. But sending off your barrel and slide to have it done is permanent. If you’re good with that, then Lucky 7s hands down. If you’re shooting a Glock you could probably get an aftermarket slide (Brownells windowed @$220) and barrel (AIM surplus @$40) and send it off for the Lucky 7s ports ($115) and have about as much invested as it would cost to buy a Ramjet/Afterburner.
Um, pretty much only goes up 1 line while the comp goes up 1.5-2 lines. That’s a huge difference.
So what do you all think 🤔? Doesn't really look like it does anything but that's just from a video I mean I can't feel it in my hand I mean it does look totally sweet on the gun but I ain't going to pay for hundred bucks just to make my gun look sweet if it doesn't improve performance
you should spend for hundred bucks on an English class
Muito bom !
That’s no good... any follow up? Did you find a cause? Also is that optic holding zero from that position after the rifle has been taken down and reassembled?
Seems to be either a bad trigger return spring or not installed correctly...most commonly at the rear notch on the trigger bar. It can happen on classic P-series Sigs.
Wow.
