Notice how the "pro-life" guy slips in "an alive person", to plant the idea that preborn persons aren't "alive". Life doesn't actually "begin" at conception. Life continues, transmitted from the mother and father's living gametes. Upon joining in fertilization, the burst of light is the life-force energy expended in joining the DNA, to create a new, genetically distinct person, but the life-force didn't stop before that. The egg and sperm didn't die. They carried the life-force into a completely new, genetically unique, living human being. From the embryonic stage, to the old man or woman dying in their bed, that's a living, unique human being, and that's the legal definition of "person." Under the Constitution, all persons have the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. All persons are entitled to equal protection under the law. That's a bulletproof legal argument for a constitutional amendment recognizing the rights of preborn persons, but our government and corporations are Godless and LAWLESS. Pro-life is just virtue signaling.

I used the incorrect word there, but if that’s the position you gathered from this interview, you didn’t listen with honest ears.

@loganmketterling I listened to the whole interview, and I liked the video, but I heard that loud and clear. The idea that a preborn person is not alive yet is what both the pro-abortion and pro-life crowd are always pushing in political talking points. It's scientifically and spiritually ridiculous. As if any nonliving thing could just suddenly come to life. All life comes from living organisms. There's no stopping life, then restarting it. The egg and sperm carry the life-force. If they were dead, fertilization wouldn't be possible. The new, genetically distinct person is formed at conception, carrying the life-force transmitted to the preborn baby from the mother and father. That's how it works. All the political talking points mess up people's ability to think and reason.

@loganmketterling I'm not criticizing you, just trying to clarify the process for you, so you understand the miracle, because every conception really is a miracle.

@@valerieprice1745 it’s just odd that you are presenting this as if I’m in opposition to that view. From conception it is living human being and I simply misspoke when meaning to say “born”. I am currently adopting a child that may have faced abortion. If you just think I’m lying to you, then there isn’t anything more I can say.

I have a brother who has a tendency to throw the baby out with the bath water regarding purity culture. He no longer believes in any standard of modesty. (I know there’s no hard and fast rule, but he doesn’t believe in any standard whatsoever. As in, there’s nothing wrong with walking down the street naked.) I think he thinks I’m so influenced by purity culture because I cover my body appropriately and care about the sexual purity of my future husband (while believing in grace and extending it.)
