Fooding with Kuaci Eyes

Hey there, I love food. But that's an understatement really. I love cooking, making, smelling, eating, feeling, shopping, looking, watching, touching, reading, photographing, creating, experiencing and learning about food. I've been cooking since I was 8, always snooping around my mom's kitchen. Cooking is my meditation and my medication. It's healing, humbling, and has brought out the best and worst in me. I love it all the same.
You may or may not share my sentiment but I just want to share what I know and love to make at home for my family, my loved ones and myself. I hope you find them enjoyable but mostly useful, and hopefully inspiring. Cooking is a feeling and an expression, a creative process - be brave, let your instincts be your guide and cook with love. It will always turn out right.

Savory Vietnamese Pâté + camera falls in boiling oil!
If you've ever had Banh Mi - god forbid if you haven't, please go get one immediately - chances are you've had Vietnamese Pate, which is slathered on the baguette before they pile on all the other yummy bits. Creamy, buttery, and luxurious, it is an essential element to a Banh Mi, but is also good on its on with your fave grazing titbits. Super easy to make and taste soooo much better than store bought ones.

Seemingly simple, making an outstanding Pad Krapow requires practice and dexterity. Check out my tips and you can be on your way... Sayur Lodeh
มุมมอง 1.7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Sayur Lodeh is a beautiful vegetable curry with Indonesian roots. A cross between a stew and a soup, the sambal flavor is pronounced yet subtle, tinged with turmeric and softened with coconut milk - the perfect accompaniment as a side dish or served with nasi impit/compressed rice which transforms it into Lontong. If you have extra sambal sitting around in your freezer, this is the perfect dish...
Pandan Sponge Cake
มุมมอง 1.5K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Fluffy, light, fragrant but moist - Pandan Cake is a Malaysian sweet through and through, you'd be hard pressed to find a Malaysian who can resist a slice of this sublime classic. There is nothing else like Pandan flavor - earthy, sweet, floral - and when it's paired with coconut milk, it's a match made in heaven. This recipe uses the chiffon method but it's baked like a sponge cake in a regula...
Kaya Gula Melaka in 15 Mins!
มุมมอง 48K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Made from just 3 staple ingredients - sugar, coconut milk, eggs and pandan leaves for flavor - Kaya is a staple in many Malaysian homes and South East Asia. Kaya literally translates into 'rich' in Malay, understandably so as a good kaya is decadent, luscious and dreamy. Often referred to as a jam, it is actually more of a custard spread. Using Gula Melaka (Malaysian Coconut Palm Sugar) results...
