I travel down from Portland Oregon along the coast to Del Norte and Humbolt and Mendocino counties 2 or 3 times a year to work as a volunteer on reconstruction projects at Prairie Creek Redwoods National/State Park, the old Prairie Creek fish hatchery and Mendocino Woodlands. I have had the pleasure to work with local folks, tribal people and friends from around the Pacific Northwest and Sierras. Your song and lyrics capture the music I feel when I live among the trees.

My cousin who ran into you recently in a park sent me this video, and it hits home so perfectly. In one song you told the awesome story of Humboldt. I am very proud and lucky I can say I am "Humboldt grown" and although I live in Los Angeles for now do to work, not a day goes by that I do not think of Humboldt.
