been caught in alot of thunderstorms hiking in Florida it is the lightning capital of the world....I don't mess around with lightning my good friends little sister died from a lighning strike just going to the mailbox and it was barely cloudy at the time.
I’m really sorry to hear about your friend’s sister. After being caught in a few lightning storms myself, I always take them seriously and try to spread awareness about how dangerous they can be. Thanks for sharing, and stay safe out there!
beautiful place to be!
This is cool 😊
Absolutely gorgeous hike my friend! Fantastic atmosphere!

More to come! 🐌
What a trip…
This was great, thanks for sharing.
I am enjoying your video. I spent the month of July on Newfoundland - pulled a trailer from Michigan - including seven days in Gros Morne. Although I did not take the Trout Pond hike, I understand that it can take you up the backside of the Tablelands. I also hiked up Gros Morne Mountain. Fantastic hike. When I got to the overlook at 10 Mile Pond, I found I was missing my phone. Hiked back up to the summit sign, and after a brief look around, I found it on the ground. Must have fallen out of my pocket while eating my lunch. Good that I wanted to take a photo of the overlook, otherwise I would not have known it was missing until I reached the parking lot. Lucky! Also had the same guides on the Western Brook Pond boat tour! Fantastic place. I enjoyed the trip back through your video. Your right - there is Canada nice and then there is Newfoundland nice! Had a great chat with a couple from Gander who took travelers in during 9/11. Just fantastic people.
Incredible! Newfoundland is such a beautiful place, and the people really do make it even more special. I actually had a great conversation with a local who told me about the musical Come From Away, such a touching story that really shows the kindness of Newfoundlanders. I’m really glad you enjoyed the video and that it brought back some memories from your trip. Sounds like you had an amazing adventure, and it’s cool we had some of the same experiences at Gros Morne!
@@snailtrailoutdoors I suggest the TH-cam video about the events in Gander on 9/11. Not sure of the exact link, but if you put in the key words "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Gander" you should get it. It was done by Tom Brokow at the time of the Vancouver olympics. If you get the chance, there are great hiking trails near Twillingate and Bonavista.
Love the Roan. Great!
Awesome! The one word for hammock camping at an elevation like Grandfather, Beech Mtn, etc...for any time of year...would be "underquilt."
You are not kidding, definitely will make sure to pack one of those next time!
hell yeah bro, looks amazing.. where are you going next????

Amazing for your video of Camping at Attic Window, Grandfather Mountain North Carolina. I love your video. Thanks for sharing.🥰
Brilliant solo adventure man, this looks and feels amazing! Absolutely amazing!

Amazing. I am going very soon!
I hope you have a great trip!
Oh my goodness. You've taken me back a couple of decades to where I used to live in SoCal. I've spent many hours watching the Sunsets at the numerous SoCal Beaches. This was awesome and very beautiful. Thanks
I love it!
🥺
Those animals uses to roam free in huge flocks We fucked up nature
Absolutely. Bison once roamed in enormous herds before we nearly drove them to extinction. Thanks to conservation efforts, they’re making a comeback in places like Yellowstone. It’s an important reminder of the need to respect and maintain our natural environment. The passenger pigeon wasn’t so lucky. It went extinct around the same time due to similar reasons.
Looks like a good freezer stuffer to me.
Don't sleep walk 😅
wow views because there aren't any trees blocking it
Lots of rolling grassy hills, great for taking pictures!
Any permits or reservations needed to camp at Attic Window? Thinking about a first week in October hike. What trail did you use to get up there? Profile? Great video!
Thanks for watching! Yes a reservation will be needed to camp here. We parked at the Boone Fork parking area and walked up the Daniel Boone Scout trail to reach Attic Window. October should be a beautiful time to go! Just make sure to dress warm because we froze our butts off staying up there in late May.
@snailtrailoutdoors Will definitely be geared properly for that one! You should check out The Black Mountain Crest Trail if you haven't already. Look forward to seeing more videos 😃
Which one is the easiest trail ?
Doe Mountain is great for beginners!
Be careful guys. Nearly had a panic attack when you were retrieving your hat.
subscribers going up slowly, good work bro
great video again good work
I live here. We're overcrowded and overwhelmed. Please be respectful to the locals and the wildlife if you visit us.
I Live in Boone NC, I hike here often!
The onslaught of people from Florida have ruined everything though!
@@upinthemtns Yes. Yes they have. I can't go into Harris Teeter for a sandwich without some Florida Boomer trying to run me over or smash me with a cart. It's awful. /rant
What are the bugs like though? Lots of ticks and mosquitoes?
When we went in May it wasn’t too bad!
I hiked the whole mountain when i was 13, i'm 15 now it was a beautiful journey to hike it.
Yes, we come from Florida....to stay the summer! ❤️
3:23 The exact same look and slurs from Dennys in Billings
Complete despair
10:05 That view is INSANE
Yes that’s my favorite place in the world I live right next to it
I'm no rainbolt but the view and the vegetation gives me Blue Ridge vibes.
Right on the money!
Yep! I live here!
Manassas Battlefield
Correct! ✅
Beautiful view, nothing like that here in Indiana.
He sees something ❤ very cute
There was a time about 50 years ago that I spent a load of time in Western NC mountains backpacking, camping and fishing. I'm 69. I'm originally from Upstate SC...and bleed orange. I also spent an equal amount of time hitching the Keys, staying in the campgrounds, snorkeling everyday and partying every night. I've lived in Florida since 1989 and it's where I'll pass most likely. Warm water won my heart.
Sounds like you have a lot of great stories! I would love to pick up snorkeling again one day. 🐌
Bear snacks lol
