เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 27 ก.พ. 2012
On Second Story we talk with guests about pivotal changes that happened in their lives that sent them down a different path.
Fire And Ice | Aaron Volpatti
This week Josh and Corey chat with former NHLer, author, burn survivor, and Cognitive Performance Coach Aaron Volpatti.
When he was a teenager, Aaron survived a burn accident that left him with second and third-degree burns to over 40% of his body. He lay in a burn unit for months, thinking that the accident had ended his dream of getting a hockey scholarship to an Ivy League school.
A few years later, he was lacing them up at Brown University, and a short time after that as an NHLer with the Vancouver Canucks.
How did he do it?

Life in prison is crazy. He didn’t kill anyone. SMFH 🤦🏽♂️
It's wild that this dude is in jail for life for making a website that the powers don't like
This dude is a warrior. I burned myself on the BBQ just last week and complained about it for a month. Think about it...
Are you saying that you plan to keep complaining about it for three more weeks?
@@second_story You guys are good. That's exactly what I'm saying.
Thanks for sharing Aaron's story! Very inspirational. No doubt Aaron still has many more stories to write. I should have him on my new podcast, Third Story ;)
Thanks dude! Appreciate it. We look forward to you completing the trilogy for us.
I started watching him after I was in a bad accident and stuck in the hospital for sometime. He helped me through one of the toughest times of my life. Been watching ever since
That’s terrible, glad you found him and he helped you. I hope you are doing better. I went through a similar situation, stuck in hospital for six weeks. Not fun at all. Be well!
The scariest part of Mario is that he has said that he didn't even care about hockey until he came back in 2000. He came back so his kids could have memories of watching him play at the highest level live.
100% agree
Hell yeah!
Great channel to subscribe to. I happened to find it several months ago. Definitely worth a watch.
@@GettingOutInLife you are talking about Second Story right? Lol
Nice
I’m glad that u r given an incite on this young man’. It seems that we fall through the cracks of life journey. Their r many times where we seem to fall short of people who want to inform others about their lives n what s going one our country. Many times we have a blind eye to what’s happening. We need to address this at all cost. Thank you …n know that we need to look out for each other. We only have one life…so make it worthwhile.
Great interview Josh. Your uncle Glen Cybulski. Still trying to figure out where James falls on our family tree.
Mark holst is the goat
Cybulski in NHL24 Be A Pro mode is giving me Brain Cancer :DD
I always think of his Bruce Willis interview when I see him.

Despite being a murder suspect, you let her keep and try to raise a baby... WHAT IN THE WORLD DID YOU EXPECT!??? Poor angel got let down by the ppl who were supposed to be looking out for him... mother and government 🤦♀️🤦♂️ RIP Baby Zachary RIP Dr. Andrew, hope she's in the worst pits of hell! #
The whole 2nd half of the video was full of affirmation statements. You could have actually said that he went on to succeed in his comeback hitting a career-high 25 HR and having a freakish throwing arm, perhaps the best in history. You could make a highlight reel of just him throwing out runners....Instead, you said a lot in 30 seconds without saying anything at all
@@Nomah1979 appreciate the constructive criticism. I’m honestly shocked to find it on the internet, appreciate the thoughtful feedback. Great comments. Cheers! Josh and Corey
😢 Oh my god
How the fuck was he a suspect?. Cuz hes the first who noticed the bomb??
I Enjoy watching his videos a lot. Makes me feel like I am out camping and moving around. Thanks
I'm really enjoying this, and Brickman Allen is bang on!! So inspiring!! Thank you so much and may God continue to Bless you!!

Loved this guy on the jays
@@demarcdegasol he’s a really great guy doing incredible work. We did a longer form interview with him on our channel, check it out if you have the time! Be well, thanks for commenting on the video.
Lunchbox! Gotta admit, I thought Snider would be a star. Seems like a good dude though, glad things ultimately ended well for him.
I got assaulted, and ever since i carry a gun on me at all times, now every place is my safe space, lol.
Sorry to hear that. I hope you came out of it okay. I would hate to be the next person to f around and find out…
He’s a narcissistic evil person. He got arrested for making over $2 million dollars of reselling counterfeit high value sports cards and Pokémon cards. He will definitely serve a 15-20 year sentence and his wife finally filed for divorce to leave this re-offender.
Deliberately left out the part where they fired because he reached for his waistband to pull up his pants. It’s a sad situation, but you’re leaving out the facts to make them look like ruthless murderers.
It’s a one minute video. We left out a lot, like the fact that his shorts fell down because he was crawling towards the police after being instructed by the police to crawl towards them. I also left out: - Brailsford’s gun said, “Come and take it.” - Shaver begged for his life - Brailsford had prior complaints against him (on video) of excessive force against a teenager
Why would he try to pull up his pants?? Surely they weren’t doing anything ridiculous like crawling backwards with rifles pointed up your a** as your pants fall down.
He wasnt thinking straight, and that got him killed. It's a sad situation.
@@hansspiegel7577 nah. Shaver got killed because Brailsford was either too much of a coward to simply walk forward and handcuff him as he lay on the ground or Brailsford wanted the confrontation to escalate. Either way, it was his fuck up that cost Shaver his life.
@@second_story coward to walk forward...? theres procedures for a reason... Doesnt matter if they are sitting on the ground while walking up, they might try and take their gun, ambush them, etc
Damn. Blast from the past. >.>

It's truly criminal what the FBI and the media did to Richard Jewell. I'm so glad he got his name cleared but unfortunately was never really fully cleared, as almost nobody still wanted anything to do with him. His life never really recovered. R.I.P. big guy. 🌹
❤❤❤
It's hubslife...Huge fan from India
There's more to life than just sitting there making money he's traveling so let him travel.
I like the scene where the FBI searches and tosses his living quarters and comes up with a book about the OJ trial by Vincent Bugliosi. Richard Jewell was an educated man and the media made him out to be a fool. No good turn goes unpunished it seems. That many of us could withstand the public scrutiny and character assassination that people were quick to jump to once they labeled him a suspect from some fool agent who came up with a clever theory that he had planted the bomb in the first place so that he could come out looking like a hero. They can never take that back they harmed the man by reputation assassination
More proof of: if they can do it to a former president, they can do it to a anybody.
SUE EVERYONE
I’m 55. I remember it fine.
Sounds like he screwed up a false flag and they punished him, for it.
