I would love to do this trail!
Couldn’t anyone just say that phrase and it would stop tho?
I used to work for Graham Brothers construction until they went belly up.
Mr Tarpley, you're Father's name wouldn't happen to be Bob? Reason I ask is because after I shared this with my mom she said that a Bob Tarpley was very good friends with her father, JW Zetterower. He passed in 2015 but Bob would visit and give him rides sometimes, Also her name is Laurie/Laurel and was born in 1949 and grew up there.
@@Captwalker70 Bob was my first cousin as our dad's were brothers. Dr. Zetterower was my dentist and Laurie was one of the cutest/prettiest girls to graduate Dublin High School.
@@Captwalker70 what relation was Cheryl Zetterower to you?
One of my Great great grandfathers was born in Laurens county in the mid 1850s. Also my Gr Grandfather his son was born there 1870s.
I enjoyed the visual and talking tour because you showed your memories. I think you and I are kindred spirits because I wrote one of my books about growing up in Marietta, GA. When I was a young lad we drove through Dublin on the way to Brunswick/Jekyll Island. I was impressed then (1958), and just as impressed now. Thank you for the guided tour.
I stayed here in 2013 think stayed for about four days not sure it was almost 10 years ago quite enjoyed it, not a big hostel as far as they go but it was ok. I met a german guy and Russian woman. We had gotten to know one another, and we went down to Point Lobos National Park spent time walking one of the trails that went down by the sea. I think pancakes were what was always on the breakfast menu I enjoyed my time meeting quite a few people etc Hi Ben hope this message finds you well, hope your trip went well, just curious where are you living now do you still stay in hostels, etc? I stayed at the hi fisherman's wharf I quite liked it, anyway if you get this message feel free to reply cheers Robert
The moffett could have done that alone 🤣
Hey Ben any videos on the old Davis mansion? On 705 Bellevue?
@@TheDarkSideofNY did you mean the Lovett house?
I miss East Dublin.
i lived there for like 7 years of my childhood from 2013 to 2020
I live down GA HWY 199 4 miles past I-16. Used to before the trees grew up on the hill where we had a garden you could see that water tower on a clear day. It is exactly 12 Miles SE from the the water tower Land Elevation at Water Tower 248 FT. Land Elevation where we had the garden 275 Feet. So it was higher at the garden most people would not know it but I know I used to see it.
@Ben Tarpley there was also a Gym the water tower was behind the gym. I lived in town a while and went to Dublin Junior High there. Sadly the Gym and Old DHS was torn down.
Lived in Dublin for a year; went to church in Dudley - proud to have lived there!
Bro. Mullis Church?
I have uncles, aunts and a lot of cousins live in Dublin and East Dublin. I've been visiting there since 1962. I plan on moving there in a few months.
Is Dublin in atl ?
No
140 miles South of Atlanta and 50 below Macon.
3:33 I thought this was the museum.
It is today. Old library is now a museum.

Ben One of my most fondest memories was staying in Dublin with the grandparents of neighbors who lived down the street from my family in Florida. They had a beautiful place in the country with a pond and spillway. I think I was about 13. Wow great memories. He taught band at a high school..Mack Thomas Sr.
Thanks for the walk down memory lane. I was born and raised in Dublin, but left for college in 84, and moved to Augusta in86. I haven't been home in about four years now due to having a terminal illness called ALS which restricts travel. Dublin will always be home and your video tour brought a sentimental tear to my eye.
My dad was born in dublin, and. Other family members my mom and her family. I grew up there off and on over the years. But Dublin ga will always feel home to me..❤ Thanks for the video.
Thanks Ben Tarpley! This is the closest I've been to Dublin at Christmas in many a year. Brings back warm feelings and wonderful memories.

I have an interview for the VA, if all works out I will be moving from Pennsylvania. Thanks for this video. Reminds me of Pennsylvania.
Gotta love the contractor when he orders 12 ft board and ask you to drop it on the floor in an 8 ft room. Then gets upset when you stand it on the wall in the hall lol
We deliver sheetrock by hand at the company I work for
No boom? You work like dogs. Bad enough with a boom. I did this for about 10 years off and on. Worst job ever
You guys do it old school... Where's your camel cart!?
You should've took that shit threw the hoods south side bound Dub Sac stand up
Or the vill
It should be noted that when coming from the east side , right as you go around the courthouse, everyone in the left lane will try to cut you off before the left lane turns into a left turn only lane. Almost all of those people have Laurens, Johnson, Washington, or Emanuel County tags and are well aware there is only one lane that goes through down town. :)
I just had my van body repair done here. Let me tell you that Mark, Mike and the guys who work in the shop are the best. They do exceptional work and they are righteous guys. Man if you need some body work done to your vehicle, take it to the best.

Thanks for posting. We are looking into relocating to Dublin.
To me, I think this is the most beautiful town in the state. I live in Auburn,Ga. It's nice too but really small and the events are awesome!!
I moved to Dublin GA. five yrs ago and decided to stay. I still can't believe how nice it is. I like it here so much...I don't want others to find out the "best keep secret in the South. Thanks....
also your father must be a real good man god bless u🙋
I live in dunlin GA it's a real nice place
yall should make another one I fk wit it true country living shit
terrible setup
Why do you believe the setup is terrible?
+Ben Tarpley why not be right by the door have the teledyne bring it to the door. it becomes about a 15 second boom then.
+Amanda C As a Director of a nonprofit, I don't have the expertise to know why. The area to the right was pretty narrow plus 4 days of rain made some areas around the house more saturated.
+Ben Tarpley well if it rained that makes it a little different. I haul anywhere between 65k-80k a day. I just happened to see this video..
We're is the danger tape and that boom is hard on the base of the mast ....
Thank you for this video. Have been researching more about this area of Georgia. Recently discovered that a couple of my "Great-Grands" - Captain Josiah and Nancy Doty Warren - were early settlers in Laurens County, and are buried at Poplar Springs North Baptist Church.
go raiders dublin the best round
same do this everyday I drive boom truck with a 70 ft boom
