I used to spend a lot of time up there but haven't been back for a dozen years. Nice to see they finally paved that road, it was full of boulders when I was last there.

Nice improvements on the west side since I travelled from BV to Taylor Reservoir one day for some fly fishing below the dam back in 2008. Thanks for the update, the scenery and the memories.

Hi, approx how long does it take driving the pass to reach Taylor Park Reservoir area in the summer months from Buena Vista?

Paving this road detracts from its original beauty.

I remember when this was all dirt, with the last half mile having to be hiked. Long time ago. Would have been far more enjoyable at the normal speed.

The beginning of the ruination of that part of the wilderness. Use to be secluded and beautiful. Taylor reservoir will be ruined. Colorado isnt the same state anymore. Too many idiots from other places now.

I CROSSED COTTONWOOD PASS IN ABOUT 1972. IT WAS DANGEROUS AND VERY SCARY. I THOUGHT WE WERE GOING OVER THE EDGE JUST OFF THE TOP ON THE DOWNHILL SIDE GOING TO TAYLOR RESERVOIR

June 1966 was a different road.

Do you leave Sully alone in the RV? How do you monitor the temperature inside the RV while you’re away?

Nice. I haven't been over Cottonwood Pass since the new paving (thank you covid). This certainly makes the trip easier but I never thought the west side was that bad. Actually, this probably makes Taylor Park closer to Buena Vista time wise than it is to Gunnison because of the winding nature of the highway below Taylor Park Dam.

This is one of my favorite drives I’m so glad it is finally paved. Lucky sully.

I'm selling my home and amost fully sold most of my furniture and belongings. I'm planning to boondock most of the time. I have social anxiety disorder and being in crowded campgrounds isn't an option. I will follow your channel, I am pushing 60, and flying solo with 3 labrador retrievers. Lol!

In my opinion, that area of Colorado is the most beautiful place in the world. I'm heading up there this coming weekend for a week's vacation. Staying in Buena Vista for a couple of days, and will be taking the drive to Taylor Park Reservoir. The video is really nice, I haven't been on the road since it opened this year. I was there two years ago and the road was closed, under construction, so we went to Cottonwood lake instead and road the trail all the way up to the end, also beautiful scenery.

I guess I should of watched this one first. :) Bed time for me now, but I'll be watching more of your videos.

Hello there. I found you by searching for solo woman workamping. I've workamped one summer in a nearby campground and it wasn't the greatest experience. I'm very mildly considering trying it again and going f/t, so decided to do some research.

This area looks beautiful. I will definitely put it on my bucket list. And I read dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash.
