Looks like this will be fun
Oh, you're watching some older ones! Thank you!
Thank you Diane, I use this system too ❤
Yay, so you know how great it works!
I don’t use boarders often, but when I do I do something similar to what you do. As a matter of fact you are the one who inspired me to do pages this way. I like the snow flakes dangling, and I do have embroidery thread. So all set to go! On a different note, I hope you and your family are all safe from the fires. I’m not “following “ per se the track of the fires but I have seen several posts on fb where several advisors have had to evacuate. Praying for everyone’s safety. As long as family is safe everything else can be replaced. Memories live within us, not our things. 🙂🙏🏻❤
Thank you for your kind words and prayers! We are indeed safe, and currently having a little break from the winds so that sound help out with the fires.
Love the border !
Thanks Bonnie, simple, but gets the job done.
Thanks for watching my video. I love making borders! Do you? How often do you make borders for your layouts?
Beautiful border and nice twist on a journaling spot!
Thank you, I love the way it turned out!
Simple and nice
I agree, Thank you for watching!
I love watching organization videos. I’ve learned a lot today. ❤
I'm so glad! Thanks for watching!
I have a lot of hobbies. I have goals for 3 of them and will probably add some for other of the hobbies. I want to do at least 120 scrapbook pages this year. I want to piece and quilt 3 quilts this year and embroider 6 blocks for a quilt in 2026. On the 3rd hobby, I want to make at least 120 cards.
Wow, that's a lot of great goals! Good luck with them!
@@DianeGutierrezScrapbooking Thank you.
Love the creating simple series.
Thanks, I am trying to create more of them!
Good goals. I’m using one of the trackers.
The trackers are fun and great to see progress at a glance!
I have a clear dish as well, that holds odd stickers . Love the
I've learned that I need a place to kind of dump and run, so I can clean up quickly without overthinking it. When it's low enough, it's fun to dig through too.
Beautiful
Thanks! It was a fun day to create!
Margaret, From Cal
Hi Margaret, where about in CA?
Hi Diane - kudos to Janet @ RTS. That's where I 'met' you & your YT channel! Great idea saving steps by keeping stickers on backing paper if I understood your demo as well as die cuts/embellishments together, great idea and save pages and see an embellishment that can use with or in place of stickers. And perfect spot for extra small punched designs like you are doing. Do you ever have problems with the adhesive tabs sticking to the sticker backing paper? I made a pile of wax paper covered pages but I got impatient with making those combined with waiting for glue to dry. So you streamlining the process is wonderful.
It is so nice to have RTS fans join us here. :) I wish Janet was still making videos. Yes, sometimes the adhesive tab stays on the paper, but I find it peels off nicely.
Cute! Thanks for sharing!
You are welcome! I hope you try it.
Wow it seems like a lot of double work. It seems like you could eliminate a couple steps by just bringing out your sorting box when you are done with your project instead of duping it in your little boxes. It shouldn’t take much more time to sort your leftovers at the point when you finish with your project. I know you keep saying it doesn’t take very long but double work to me is a waste of my time. The bottom line is that we as crafters have way too much stuff leftover that we will probably never use. At least I know I have way too much and I keep adding to it every time I go to a store, retreat or online shop. New stuff is always coming out and we feel the need that we need to have it 😂 Thanks for your time and showing your method.
Excellent Idea! Once my sorting box is empty I think I might give this a try, remove the step of the dumping box(es). I will admit, I like having the quick dumping area to help cleanup quick, but you have a point. I'm going to try that and see how it goes, TFS
Thanks.
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for this Diane. I copied you today on a layout!
That's awesome, I'm so glad you tried it!
This has been so helpful thanks!
I'm so glad it was helpful!
Thanks Diane i have wondered how you stored this stuff!
You shared some great ways and tips to organizing!
Thanks so much!
Thanks for sharing how you organize. I’ve started doing that with ephemera packs because they are so much easier to see on a page. I need to do that with some stickers and scraps. I would totally use that bird!! Cute!!
LOL! You are going to love organizing your stickers, it makes everything so much easier to find!
I started to do it this way too after watching Janet, except I do themes instead of colors. It sure makes so much more room and I like being able to flip through my stickers. She has some of the best idea's.
I've done some of my themes like this, it helps save space too, so everything is not bunched up in a baggie or envelope.
Thank you for sharing your ideas.
You're welcome! I hope they're helpful.
This is great! I may divide into color categories. Like warm colors, cool colors, bright and neutrals. But I like your organization! I know some crafters use those 8 x 11 photo album pages that have the static sheets. They were used long ago for photo albums but you can still buy them. That way you don't have to put sticky on the back, they stick to the album page and the sheet goes over them. I have thought about doing that.
I am using the magnetic pages for ephemera but not in an album. I have the pages in a plastic file container. That way I can find what a need easily by theme. Maybe I will add some of my random stickers.
I like your plan for your colors! I've seen the sticky albums after I started this, may try it someday to save the extra step of adding the adhesive. It's funny, I worked so hard to get all those types of albums out, even donated some back in the day, now to bring it back in, that will be hard. :)
Love this page duo! Well done! :) ~Ali ❤
Thank you so much, Ali! I’m glad you liked it!
Beautiful LO! I was drawn to the word "blessed," too. GMTA, so funny. Thanks Diane, this is a perfect LO in my ❤ colours, Canadian and all! Red and blue are equally my 2 fave colours...and paired with whjte, are an unbeatable combination! TYSM. ~Ali
I love that combo of colors!! I feel like Flurry of Fun collection is the same way with that pop of Red.
I also use the binder method from Janet Madison (I love RTS videos). The difference is I use the photo pages you can peel back the cover, then add the sticker (or whatever) and then put the cover back over. I also have a separate binder for sentiments so I can always find them. For die cuts, I use baseball card pages, business card pages or other pocket pages to store some of the bigger items
Thank you Debbie, these are some great ideas. You got me thinking, I might need a binder for sentiments. Hmm. :)
Love the organization videos! Would you mind sharing what your sections are for ordering stickers and such other than by color? (eg travel, Christmas, etc) Thank you so much! Great video!
Hi Laura, I'm glad you enjoyed the video, it was fun to share. You asked for me to share my other categories, besides by color. Do you mean how I store them, or how I order them?
@ actually, what those categories are and whether you have a different binder per category. Thank you!
@@laurachristopher3614 Okay, got it. Yes, I will show that someday, thanks!
I love the enamel dots binder organization. Gonna do this.
Thankyou! This has made it so easy to grab what I need and finish my layout.
I do love organizational video's. I have tried a few different things to get organized.with word, animals, floral or foliage, etc. which is working for me right now.
Organizing is so important! It makes scrapping so much easier.
Very helpful. I have a drawer that holds my old stickers, and you can guess, I don't tend to use them. Stickers in binders are also forgotten.
Yep, somethings it's hard to equally use all our materials, I have to make it an effort sometimes. This year I am trying to add something from my stash on every layout, hopefully that will help me remember.
I hope you're safe during the devastating fires in LA.
Thank you Cynthia, my family and I are safe. We are a bit removed from the area of the fires. We have seen some smoke in the distance, but really that's it. Hoping the winds calm down soon.
@DianeGutierrezScrapbooking Glad to hear that.
GREAT video!!! I'd be interested in seeing how you store your mat packs. Thanks again!!!
Once I take the mat cards out of the collection, they go into a simple little basket, by color of course. Nothing too exciting, I will try to show on a video soon.
Great ideas. Where do you get your wax paper. Can't buy it in Western Australia.
We can get it almost anywhere here in the US, mostly to cooking aisle of the grocery store. Others have suggested those sticky albums that you peel back the top.
I would love to know how you store your stickers and die cuts.
Thank you for sharing. What a great way to organize your stickers
You're welcome! I hope it helps.
I enjoy seeing how others organize. Thank you.
Me too! :)
Thanks for this detailed description of your system. Seeing you pull things together for layouts makes more sense now!
You're welcome, thanks for watching.
Thank you for an enjoyable video
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Always do this also.
Yay!!
This year I'm doing theme park Thursday, stamping up sketch of the month and scrapbook generations weekly scrap challenge. CM challenges are set for next year. I'm also thinking for next year to pick a demonstrator or two or three and follow along with their layouts. 😊
Wow, you have awesome plans for scrapbooking and keeping yourself scrapping along and getting pages done, way to go!
I love these. Makes the pages interesting without so much work!
I agree, I love the project recipes!
so glad you are back i have missed you!
Aw, thank you!
Love the little ribbon idea! Thanks!
You're welcome! Glad you liked it!
Awesome border!
Thank you! I'm glad you like it!
Nice!
Thank you for watching!
At first, I was thinking there was too much going on but this layout turned out really cute!
Honestly, I wasn't sure at first either. LOL, but the layout has grown on me and I think it represents the Fun Day pretty well.
