Piaggio MP3 530 Exclusive 2023 For Sale
Purchased in November 2023 this is a reluctant sale. Personal circumstances have changed and unfortunately I have to let her go.
This is a stunning motorbike with a 530cc engine which generates 44 horsepower. More than enough for regular motorway riding.
Her daily commute involves a mix of town, motorway and mountain riding up to around 2,400 metres altitude so she is very capable.
Some of the key features include a LCDAS system (for when you are changing lanes). 3 riding modes (Eco, Comfort & Sport). A reverse gear with camera and of-course the comfort. I have travelled 300 - 500 Km in a day without any issues at all.
She has a full service history and I have the invoices available.
As the price offered I am sure she will be sold soon so get in touch.
The price includes:
The motorbike
Helmet (LS2 Advant Carbon Fibre “L”)
The top box (Shad X59)
Lateral bags (Givi)
If you are in Mainland Spain or France I can deliver the motorbike personally for an additional 1,000 Euros (non refundable).

it's amazing how many idiots are out there. have you ever thought of giving up your motorbikes because of these idiots
This was one of the best reviews ive watched on this O_o
Sports modus is the best because you have also a digital speed in numbers
How can you see on the display when ASR mode is on? If you ride in sport modus its standard ‘on’ ??
Still riding on it? Is it reliable? Thinking of getting used one for commute in Belgium, Netherlands. 125 cc Vespa can't even bring me above 90 km per hour.
Great review. The best I have ever seen. I have now bought one and it arrives on Friday the 15th November. Yippee can not wait. 😁
Thx.
Thank you
i have the 400 model!it have not eco mode only comfort and sport!
Brilliant review 👏 and that sky not a cloud in site not like UK. Im thinking about 3 wheels this or kymco cv3/ gilera fuoco 500
Great bike, i love it, what is the price and how much km you done?
Hi I'm asking 10,000 Euros and it has done 26k.
Hey Whi are you selling it?
What is your opinion on the Kymco CV3 vs the MP3?
Inferior. In a word. I have seen them, handled them and very inferior in my opinion.
I am now 70 and was a 1%er for 13 years so never had a full DL for a bike even though I started with an Ariel 500 and ended with a '62 Bonny T120. Selling my rust heap and getting one of these things, nearest thing to a road legal bike right?
Absolutely. Yes. And way more stable in the wet !
Best ever review of a scooter, just impressive how detailed this presentation is, I applaud you for your effort.🏆
Too much for my heart...remind me again, where is this?!?! Won't saddle any bike in that area...I'll morph into a cager. Thx for sharing and ride safe.
35:06 35:36 No need for counter steering?
I am definitely counter steering. In fact I think I will set up the cameras top and bottom and show this on some tight twisties out here.
What is a tourist, in this context? 😁 Been enjoying your content so far especially the one where you showcased the MP3
Thanks a lot! Great review. Can I ask which phone mount you have?
I have 2 Sincetop mounts, both work really well.
On the offical sales pdf it says "a fully improved connectivity system for your phone that gives you a more sophisticated and easy view of the GPS" is this something that you have tried?
The GPS is not up to date as it has speed limits that are not correct and turns that do not exist (one way streets for example). I wouldn't cal it sophisticated by any stretch of the imagination and I certainly wouldn't pay for it when there are better FREE apps out there.
@@TenerifeRider Good to know, thanks for the info!
Wow!! Well done Michael thoroughly enjoyed it. A lot of work went into that video.
Thanks, appreciated.
That was truly excellent! What an interesting, well-presented and informative video that was! I'm strongly tempted to go an arrange an mp3 testride ASAP. It certainly seems to tick all of my boxes. Thank you!
I think you'll like. I was hooked from day 1 on my old 400cc.
Nice trick, ty :)
Demasiado rápido, no se ve nada de nada 👎🙂
What is the top speed, how is the stability?
Hi Top speed 160 Kmph and very stable.
👎👎👎👎
Best review for 530 i see on YT, all true what you say, ty :)
Hello, My 530 is a little restless between 60-75 km/h, the steering wheel shakes a bit, but only between 60-75 km/h.Do you have that?
I get the same at 120 Kmph but I am getting the wheels balanced soon to solve that.
Hello, how much is first service at 1000 km, ty ;) Nice driving ;)
I'd have to check but certainly less than 100€. It's only an oil & filter change and revision.
@@TenerifeRider thx a lot :)
Tilt lock. Get off bike. Shut it down. Three weeks later, when the battery is flat, has it fallen over? Smart functions are interesting toys, how much is a replacement ECU? Power (39:00) It's better to have it & not need it, than to not have it & need it. Bit obvs, innit?
Haw Mach in average you getting pay for order ?
Any idea if in Puerto de la Cruz have orders ?
they do yes.
Hello, it's summer 2024 and I've decided to give up on big motorcycles and go all scooter. I'm 55 years young and this looks perfect.
I'm about the same age and I'd agree.
62, and contemplating the same. Going to hire one of these on holiday, and see how it rides. Looks very good though...
@@philg7889 let us know...
I'm 54 and my first step into scooters after 30 years was a Suzuki 200 Burgman . I ride it like I stole it. It handles the mountains so well that only my skill level keeps me from going faster. I upgraded to a Can Am Ryker and is does not disappoint but it doesn't lean and it gets 24 mpg so I don't ride it much. I added a Suzuki Burgman 650 which I sold after 5 months and nearly wrecking it. It's too heavy to lean even though it was blazing fast. I just test rode a 2010 piaggio 500 and it did not disappoint. Not quite as fast as the 650 burgman but I am considering a new 530 because I need the traction and all the fancy bells and whistles that can keep me safe. I never fully trusted the 650 in the corners like I do on the 200. I couldn't do any better on the 650 outside of coming out of the corner. I may need some knee pads for the 530. They should call this thing the wet pavement and traffic killer.
It is the best Review evet I've seen
Thanks. I'll be doing more about the features os the scooter soon so feel free to subscribe.
Hi, I’ve watched a lot of videos on this scooter over the past 12 months and have got to say that your explanation has got to be the best yet, and very comprehensive thanks very much 👍🍻
Glad you liked. I wasn't even aware of how long it was until I rendered it but decided to keep everything in as it really is worthwhile watching for anyone who is thinking of buying or who owns a Piaggio MP3 530.
Thank you, brilliant explanations, much appreciated! I still am hovering about buying, I had the Tricity 125 years ago but thought the weighty steering was a downside - the power of yours plus the reverse/tilt lock has fired me up again! Please tell me, if you leave the bike locked, can anyone flick the switch and the bike fall over?
Glad it was helpful!. The ONLY way that can happen is if you lock it, walk away and leave the ignition on. Another way (and I have seen a video of this) is mounting from the right with the ignition on as your knee can catch it. Whenever I am showing the controls to anyone I always say "DO NOT TOUCH THAT BUTTON".
Hi there For past 6 months I've been driving in Economy mode but I recently drove to Lisbon in Comfort mode. The economy was exactly the same but I felt it had more acceleration when I needed it. The key is not to accelerate hard IMHO. I was achieving around 27 to 28km per litre over the 2,300 km trip. I averaged around 110 kph on the motorways so didn't push it much. Max I did was 130 but that was rare. BTW - any idea how to change the clock? I'm still 1 hour behind. Cheers Ian
Thanks for sharing!
Regarding the clock. I cover that in the review video I made... th-cam.com/video/agtSlDNAs8w/w-d-xo.html
I had one for a year almost to the day. I had Vespa GTS 300’s before the MP3 and thats what I went back to. I have a Vespa GTS 300 HPE now. Basically I didn’t like the MP3 for mainly two reasons. One it used twice as much fuel as the GTS 300, in fact my FIAT 500 car uses less fuel. Secondly I found it cumbersome with a pillion in slow traffic, the balance device stops working when you are crawling but at hardly moving speed its hard work. I’m sure many will be OK with this and enjoy it but I find the GTS much more useful, even for touring.
It really is quite economical... th-cam.com/video/Z9riumH8mIw/w-d-xo.html
I keep mine in comfort mode all of the time but i did notice when my fuel was low on a recent trip it automatically went into eco mode i had to reset it on a fill up
That's interesting actually. I didn't know it did that. Thanks.
Thanks, for this excellent review on this motorcycle/scooter. I am getting mine in two days.. You made it it very easy for me. thank you. again.
Enjoy. Any questions just ask.
@@TenerifeRider For the last days I have driven the first 300 km with my 530 hpe.. Before this one I had the Peugeot metropolis 400i for a year. I do like the piaggio. It is stronger and feels more sturdy on uneven roads. The only thing I don"t like. It gives a lot of motor vibration. at idle and slow speed. I hope that will be better when it gets driven in. Did you also notice that ? ps I used your video again. I wanted to reset the trip computer . And it did not work out with the book. So thank you again. Greetings Wim.
@@wimaroI find in comfort mode it rides smoother at lower speeds and opens the throttle more gently. I did a video here on the different riding modes that might help: th-cam.com/video/Z9riumH8mIw/w-d-xo.html
Thanks very much, super useful :) The pairing of the phone gives some headache, though, i guess its the most delicate part of the problem, as its very capricious and also it is extremely counterintuitive, especially needing to connect the phone (I don't mean the pairing), every time you step on the scooter. Thanks again, i am a technical writer and horrified by their user manual 😂 Frankly, for the most expensive scooter in their offer they could (i mean should) have done better !
You're 100% right. You would think more thought would have been put into this pretty fundamental application. Once paired it works well enough. I like the fact that I get notifications of calls and a partial WhatsApp message letting me know whether I should stop and take the call or not. However, the navigation app is like something out of the 90s and I never use it.
@@TenerifeRider Its very true, i see now its useless ... Would youi have an advice for fixing a phone in a handy way (i mean for the eyes !!) I have issues with the heat here and there, it heats up too much and then it puts the screen off. I hoped so much i could mirror Plans or Google Maps on the screen, but, no !! And a second unrelated question, if you don't mind, i hace a Neotec helmet without audio system and don't want to spend lots in buying the full fledged one, is it possible just to buy an audio that fits into the helmet and connects via bluetooth ?
The mounts I use are Sincetop@@tangistanguy attached to the mirror stalks. The phones never get too hot in that location and are shielded from the wind and rain a little which helps. Regarding comms: I do not use one as I tried and found it distracting. Sorry I can't help on that.
@@TenerifeRider Thanks a lot !!
Brilliant video and amazing scooter. Reverse with a rear camera! But it weighs the same as my BMW R1200RT.
I know and it lets you know JUST how heavy it is if you forget in a turn or while manoeuvring. I dropped the 400 parking one time and once it passed that point of no return I just had to get it down as smoothly as I could.
Nice ride👍. Cheers.
Thanks ✌️
do these incidents not put you off from using your motorbike
No. Absolutely not. I do roughly 2,500 - 3,000 Km a month and it's inevitable that I'll come across idiots but they rarely catch me by surprise like the guy in the motorhome.
I detest motorcycles on the roads they seem to think they own them, speeding , fast overtaking with their little tiny number plates etc,
And as if by divine intervention the exact thing happened to me today. Video to come.
First clip, is that car actually on the roundabout a fraction before you are? It must be very close.
Probably. You can't see on camera but I zoomed in later and they looked down the road I was on and like most drivers didn't do a 2nd check before entering the roundabout. I have a 530cc scooter but from the front it just looks like a 125 so it's kind of understandable that people pull out.
how do you did you mount the stick?
Good question. For the front shot on the handlebars on a 70cm selfie stick. For the trucking (side) shot on the stand And for the suspension shot on the nose right at the bottom but that was a tight squeeze.
Roads look a lot better condition than ours
We run guided tours here and yes, the roads are far better than the UK.
You literally can't ride a bike. Your spatial awareness is awful, and you won't last much longer using roads like that.
are you a Brit living over there?
I am indeed.
2:15 : He had the right of way, he merged onto an empty lane , YOU changed lane to his lane AFTER he was already comitted.. in short : YOU caused that your self.
I disagree. I was already on the roundabout, came on 3 junctions earlier.
@@TenerifeRiderThat roundabout has 2 lanes, you were in the inside lane, he merge onto the outside lane. As he was already merging onto the outside lane did you only change lanes.
