Covered Bridge Wedding - Pagosa Springs, CO
private venue on private property; a covered bridge over the San Juan River. Bar was Al Capones, moved from Chicago. the owner has connections in the music industry. we met this guy at this gig that said he had toured with the Eagles (on drums??? and also toured w/ some other worn out '70's bands). The facilities manager said there was a high end pro recording studio on the property (along with 35 homes). But the studio, we were told, was usually used by invite only. This was just below Wolf Creek area. Epic hunting grounds, and mountains all around.

Last Day with my Best Friend, C.J. (the story of how we met)
มุมมอง 25410 ปีที่แล้ว
The era of my companions CJ and Elwood has come to an end. Here, on CJ's last day, I tell the story of the day we met. His bother, Elwood, died in 2010. I found the Navajo Brothers in Shiprock, New Mexico in June of 2000. We've been thru thick and thin since . They saw me at my best... and at my worst. They never judged me. They loved me in the darkest times of my life. They held my flame, when...

glad it helped! try singing your parts, it internalizes the rhythms and makes you a better musical communicator when conveying ideas to others.

The White Lion version is a bit more challenging, especially the solo section. Cover that.

I'll have to listen to that. I am planning on expanding this channel. It's in the works. So, I hope to do many more songs in the future. These videos were simply a way to easily post stuff for students while teaching. Often captured during class time with a student holding my phone.

that's what my drum teacher taught me, and I have passed that onto many students. It makes understanding it go from "Intellect to Feel". cheers

I like the sound of just the rack toms being used. I like the sound of the floor tom also, but the floor tom gives it a more big band sound

yep, I agree. As I've aged, I've kinda given up on trying to imitate w/ exactness. I prefer to play my version. In my youth it was the other way around. Most tunes I've played for he last 20 years, I've never listened to the original version. Sometimes I laugh at how different I've approached a groove after hearing the original years later. I've been lucky to play with similar minded players who also highly value creativity and playing tight. cheers.

google can usually help, may take some extra effort, but there's charts out there. I used to use a few sites that we're a collections of authors uploading their drum charts to the web data base. some charged $ others did not. some free stuff.

"edutaining" ...what a fabulous new word for me to use. You must be a teacher. b/c teaching = making shit fun while learning. especially with the little kids I taught. if I kept up the high energy, intensely fast paced "comedy show" as I taught, they actually listened and learned much quicker with less disruptions. Down time was a class killer, evolving into a plague that swept thru the class within seconds!
