I had time this weekend to record some more video. Instead of saving it for next week I decided to upload a bonus video. I backed off the zoom a bit and got full screen shots of the bigger birds. These pigeons are huge and they gobble the bird seed. It's a problem. LOL.

Started early in the morning as the solar fountain started getting some sun. Day always starts out with hummingbirds because we have two feeder near the bird bath. I lost a file when the battery died, that's why there's a morning to afternoon transition. I hit the power button instead of the pause button. Lame.

Spent the afternoon recording all the visitors of the bird bath. We got so many today. Scrub Jays, Pigeons, Finches, Titmouse, Nuthatches and of course our favorite hummingbirds.

The fledglings are fledglings no more. They are back and looking great. There are so many in the flock. I sincerely hope they keep coming back. I would love to keep seeing their progress as they age. The gold-crowned sparrow has a that reminds me of Hunger Games. You can hear it in the background often.

Recorded a stream for one hour without edits. All the birds are in the title but I'm sure I missed a couple. I'm pretty sure there's a sparrow, scrub jay and a junko in there. Let me know if I missed any. You can hear a quail in the background down the hill somewhere.

Early morning shot starts off slow. We get a lot of birds today but it's all interrupted by our adopted feral cat we named Pasta. Don't worry, I feed her every morning and I've never seen her attack a bird. Lizards though... hopefully mice and rats. I kept recording but you can see the hummingbirds were hovering to make sure Pasta was gone. So I stopped recording after that. Eventful morning.

Apologize for the humming of the air conditioner. It was a hot night and the morning sun was already beating down on the house. The good news is that we got two new birds in the Merlin App. The Band-Tailed Pigeon & Golden-Crowned Sparrow.

Yes, not only do we have the first sighting of the Orange-Crowned Warbler. But the warbler also took a quick bath . What a beautiful bird with great colors.

Yes, we have a lot of bees at the moment. I haven't been bitten but they do surprisingly drink a lot of water. This is a couple of hours of sitting and recording all the birds that visit the bath in the morning. Had to stop because the camera started overheating.

Sorry, the air conditioner was on for the first couple of clips. The bath was leaking the water too quickly. I had to fix it and clean the filters. This video was exciting for us because it's the first time the fledglings came back after we've seen the parents here many times. There must have been a large clutch of eggs. Started recording at sunrise and recorded for a couple of hours. Here's all the birds that visited the bird bath. Hummingbirds, Woodpecker, Finches, Titmouse, Nuthatch, Scrub Jay and California Towhee. That's getting to be a normal morning now. It's so great to have all these visitors enjoying the bath.

I put this bird bath together mainly for hummingbirds. Since then the hummingbirds occupy the bath most of the time. It's been so satisfying to watch.

The birds of different species that are cool with bathing with each other knowing each is not a threat. It took awhile and many baths but they are starting to get it. It's a safe place.
