Return to the Tennessee Mountains - Sunrise Over the Clouds | 4K Cinematic Drone Film
This 4k cinematic drone film is a follow-up to the first Tennessee Mountains film. The conditions were so epic, and the footage so plentiful, that I wanted to share more of what I saw on that morning. The footage was captured in the Tennessee Mountains southeast of Turtletown.

Tennessee Mountains - Sunrise Over the Clouds | 4K Cinematic Drone Film

I always try to give myself the best chance to capture professional quality drone footage. I prepare my equipment, study and practice techniques, and try to predict when the light and atmosphere will produce epic conditions. The last one doesn't always work out, because you never know quite what you might get when you show up. This time, that final ingredient appeared in a way that I had never ...

Lake Allatoona - In The Golden Hour | Cinematic 4K Drone Film
มุมมอง 606หลายเดือนก่อน
I believe the next best thing to filming at sunrise or sunset is filming in the golden hour. The light is still soft and it's also fairly quiet and peaceful. This is the seventh film I have produced from Lake Allatoona. There are just so many scenic views on the north end of the lake that I just can't get enough of them. Soaring Above the Giants of Midtown Atlanta (Sunrise Above Midtown) | Cinematic 4K Drone Film The light produced by a sunrise is one of my favorite things to watch and enjoy. The everchanging colors and the way that the light reflects differently on each subject also makes it one of favorite times to capture images. Combining that light with the skyline of Midtown Atlanta and some dreamy music ...
Rocky Face Ridge Park | Cinematic 4K Drone Film

Rocky Face Ridge Park | Cinematic 4K Drone Film On a recent trip to Chattanooga, I saw Rocky Face right near Interstate 75 in Dalton, Georgia. The mountain had a great, rugged look due the prominent rock near the top. I knew then that I had to come back and try to capture the mountain with my drone. Several months later, I read that there was a park in the area named Rocky Face Ridge Park. From...

Awesome video Darrin!!!
Thank you!
Where were you positioned when you shot this? Down at ground level or on top of another building? A lot of people don’t realize that flying downtown is legal as long as you’re careful about not crossing into protected airspace. There are a couple of small areas that are off limits.
It does take a lot of planning to keep visual line of sight and prevent signal loss. I was on the top of the Peachtree Center parking deck. Even then I have to move around a bit depending on which direction I am flying.
When I went to Nashville, I saw a big ass Truist bank tower just like that one.
It's the second tallest building in Atlanta.
nice footage
Thank you! Much more coming...
I was trying to find the reflection of your drone... 😮
It's very stealthy...and fast!
Whoa....this looks amazing!!!
Thank you for that! Glad you enjoyed it!
Tremendous composition and massive respect for your skilled eyes and ears.
Thank you! Those are very kind and encouraging words!
Awesome video mate. New sub here, from Cornwall UK 🇬🇧 😀
Thank you! So glad you joined the team. Love having international friends!
Awesome video ❤ your shots are excellent 😊 I can feel the atmosphere! Really good work 😍
Thank you! I really appreciate your comment!
Letting the water tell a story. Spot on.
Yes. Go to pretty places and try to share what you are seeing. That's what it breaks down to. Cinematic music doesn't hurt either.
Fantastic light!
Thank you! I was just glad I was there to capture it. The conditions were amazing!
@@DarrinBarth The thing is - if we are out there often enough, we will sometimes (but not very often...) get those magnificent pictures:-).
@@zzalg Yes. You must be present to win.
Excellent visuals.
Thank you! I am already working on part two!
Beautiful capture
Thank you!
Darrin. really pro view-till next time~ 👌
Thank you for that! Plenty more content where that came from!
Brilliant video!! Enjoyed watching!! Great drone shots!! SUBSCRIBED 👏 👏
Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! I have many more video adventures coming.
Very nice video and beautiful landscape! Nice drone footage 👍 Done myself few drone videos for my travel channel if you want to have a look at....thank you!! You got a subscriber!!
Thank you! Happy to have you as a subscriber! I will definitely check your channel out.
You are welcome!! Hope you gonna like it!! Have a lovely day!!
I have this drone but haven't used it much and haven't really gotten it's full potential, are you using cinema mode here?
I do use cine mode in some situations, but most of the time I am flying in normal mode. The additional speed in these large landscapes helps give me more visual movement. It's been a process of experimentation over time. The more you fly, the more you will learn. Of course, TH-cam videos help too.
Nice video. Were you using ND filters? Usually, if I'm flying from Red Top, I'm out chasing boats.
Thanks! I do use ND filters. At first light and at sunrise, I usually don't have any filters on. As the sun comes up, I'm gradually adding them depending on how bright it is.
I fly there every now and then. Most of my flights are in the Victoria area. Vid looks great!!
It's become my go to place, but I am also expanding my horizons into other locations. I was in the Tennessee mountains last week and captured some great stuff. Thank you for the positive comment! Keep watching for more.
Those colors are amazing!
Thank you! That's one of the best reasons to get up so early. In addition to it being so calm and quiet. And the colors seem to be a little different each time.
Bravo!
Thank you! That’s high praise from the maestro!
This is beautiful… Bravo Darrin! ❤️
Thank you! It's a great outlet for my creative side and I am enjoying sharing what I see.
Do you have some sort of special FFA license to fly that area?
I do have an FAA Part 107 Certificate that allows me to fly commercially.
Cool vid from a cool guy!
Thanks, my brother!
Very nice!
Thank you!
Sorry to hear about your employer Sam 🥺🙏🏼
Thank you. We will never forget him. He was a character.
Beautiful video!
Thank you. It is a beautiful city!
@@DarrinBarth next time you’re in L’ville you’ll have to check out (if you haven’t already?) the Highlands/CherokeePark and Old Louisville/StJamesCt areas! Both gorgeous historic areas of the city! 🌈🏰💎📸🏞️🌄⛩️🏛️⛲️🛶🌈
Hey there. I talked to you recently under a different name. Another great video! I went to brasstown bald today. Making my way to mount Mitchell. I fly FPV quads but this makes me want to get a DJI drone. too.
Thanks! DJI does make really good products and they are much easier to fly than FPV quads - that's takes some serious skill. My flights are usually meant to be more scenic, so I really like my Air2s. I will probably move up to the Mavic 3 Pro someday...
@@DarrinBarth Scenic shots like yours is what I am going for. I flew for a few minutes and my nerves were a wreck. The view in the air is amazing.
Such a gorgious view. Nice video. 👍
Thanks! I appreciate the encouragement!
@@DarrinBarth I appreciate the tips you gave my on your short video. I got the autopylot app now. I'm going there in a few days.
@@atheistcomments Google Earth Pro is also a great tool to pre-plan. You can simulate 3D views and get some ideas for paths you might want to fly.
@@DarrinBarth Yeah, Google earth is great.
Nice shot! Are there any legal restrictions about flying there? I am planning to go there to fly my fpv quads.
Thanks! There is a designated Wilderness Area outside of the area surrounding the summit that is prohibited for flight. It doesn't show up on all of the apps, but Autopylot is one that shows Wilderness Areas. I flew from the back of the parking lot and kept my distance from the observation tower (vertical and horizontal). I flew only for a short time because it was very cold and windy, but had no issues because I was respectful of people and property.
@@DarrinBarth fantastic! Thanks for the info. Happy flying!
You captured some of the fall colors 👍
There were a few leaves still on the trees. I'll have to get up there earlier next year.
Beatiful!
Thank you!
Amazing footage dude, Im trying to get the same kind of drone!
Thanks! I highly recommend it. Great camera on it.
Transitions on point! Nice job Darrin!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
That was a joy to watch. Thank you for sharing and great job flying and editing 👍 The air 2s still rocks!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I agree. I love my Air 2S!
Wow! Nice!
Thanks!
Looking great man! Keep it up
Thanks! That's definitely the plan. Glad you liked it!
Nice transition with the flow of the music, esp at the beginning. Speed boats were a great touch!
Thanks! The boats were what Bob Ross would call a happy accident. I wasn't expecting them, but was able to pivot and take advantage of it!
I like that the camera goes backwards at the end as the music is winding down. Good one!
It's a good way to fade it out.
Another masterpiece!
I appreciate the words of encouragement. Wait until I actually know what I am doing!
Wow!! Never saw Allatoona like this before. Thank you Darrin
Glad you enjoyed it!
Eagles view point, spectacular. (Except Eagles don’t fly backwards 🙃)
Thank you! That's true - I have them beat there...
Nice! I recognize those rocks!
I could have spent the whole day there - so much to take in.
Awesome! Good thing you were here then and not now! I have a list of things to drone but won't leave the house for fear of dying of heat stroke
It was warm, but nothing like you are experiencing now. I'm glad I was able to fly as much as I did.
National Geographic…….here you come!
You are too kind! I'm just trying to get 1% better every time I go out.
