I always cover my hook. I would of embedded all three hooks in the chunk of chicken. I also use magic thread to keep my chicken livers on the hook.

Expensive bait but im always glad someone is teaching. Great thing about channels is that if you can get the bait to them and keep it on the hook, they will eat about anything. Im probably going to reckon those guys viewing your videos probably already catch catfish but i do hope your video reaches beginners too

If you plan to catch and release don’t use treble hooks

Just use a circle hook

Can i use a bullet sinker with a size 2 octopus hook or do i get a new hook (am new and budget fishing) but i was told a size 4/0 works too

Why do people think a trebble hook is necessary for catfish? Never have used them. Did just fine with J-hooks until circle hooks came along. Now I have to be asleep and give a cat plenty of time to swallow my bait to hook them anywhere but in the corner of the jaw. Circle hooks the way to go and the fish hooks itself 90% of the time.

You'd have to add a piece of plastic or something to that plain tremble hook if you want it to be legal in Minnesota. Otherwise, perfect setup!

Chicken livers are better, also better than that is buy some shrimp. Lay um outvin sun let um get stinky, cats love stinky shrimp...and yes Tri hooks are best for cats with all baits

I set up different. My line I tie to a 3 way swivel then I tie a short line of let's say 5 inches and I tie my hook to it . One the last swivel eye I tie a 12 inch line with my weight on the other end . This let's the bait move in the current and use s regular number 4 hook and use chicken liver. Or live bait . NOW ,HOLD ON . A 2 POUND ON UP WILL JUST HIT IT , you will know it .

People have things to do. Your joy riding shouldn't impede multiple tons of machinery aiming right at you. If i have to walk on the side of the road you should have to ride your bike on the side of the road. Or use the paved trail that was paid for with MILLIONS of our tax dollars so you would have a safe place to ride. Common sense.
