    Man I haven’t weeped that much in years because it IS my and my wife’s story…. So many layers of brokenness and so many failures on my end- so so many. The Father got a hold of my heart and revealed it all and how I really was and more importantly how my wife had felt for years… It absolutely wrecked me to my core and then I was faced with a choice - how will I respond…. And through many days and weeks of weeping and repentance the Father restored my heart and over time restored my marriage beyond what I ever thought was possible…. He is so good and it’s through the fire that we are refined and purified and I am so touched by your story because it is our story, too. May the Father continue to restore what the locusts have eaten… ““Be glad, people of Zion, rejoice at what the Lord your God has done for you. He has given you the right amount of autumn rain; he has poured down the winter rain for you and the spring rain as before. The threshing places will be full of grain; the pits beside the presses will overflow with wine and olive oil. I will give you back what you lost in the years when swarms of locusts ate your crops. It was I who sent this army against you. Now you will have plenty to eat, and be satisfied. You will praise the Lord your God, who has done wonderful things for you. My people will never be despised again.” ‭‭Joel‬ ‭2‬:‭23‬-‭26‬ ‭

    My wife has filed for divorce we have signed papers and she has moved to San Diego from Seattle Washington the final day is April 24th 2024 and it will be finalized. I can’t see her re commiting to the relationship and marriage. She has stated she is no longer in love with me and cannot trust me. There was no infidelity but I did have emotional affairs via talking to other people about things I should have been talking to my wife about. I broke the trust. I am in deep pain everyday as I have been working on everything that lead to the failure of our marriage and she wants no part in seeing those changes nor is she interested in council or letting the word and scriptures of god influence her to remain in marriage but more so to move on from it. I feel hopeless and my faith is often weak. I don’t know how to trust god will restore our bond and marriage vows to one another. Both of our check engine lights are on and flashing in my opinion but she just wants to trade her car in for a new one while I am wanting to keep mine and repair it to hold onto everything I committed to when we bought the vehicle. Paying the debt in full and seeing it through all the problems and repairs. I’m scared to lose her forever and I know god is amazing and is far more powerful then we can imagine. This is year 6 of our marriage and year 8 of being together. I have a daughter who is not with her but my daughter treats her like a mother and views her as such. She is sad just the way I am. My wife is currently in no contact and none of my efforts have been successful. I have stopped trying to reach out in hopes that god will work on her hardened heart and allow her to realize this is not what god wants for either of us. I hope one day she can see the grass isn’t always greener on the other side of the fence but only where you water it. I will wait for as long as it takes even if that means forever in hopes that one day she can come back to work on our life together. All the glory to god and I am standing for my marriage in hopes I can be one of these testimonies some day. Please pray for Danny and Ruthie to have our marriage and love and trust for each other restored. God bless if you take the time to read this message and thank you for your prayers if you so happen to feel the lord calling you to do so for my wife and I. Glory to god and in Jesus name I pray for reconciliation, amen.

    I have been married 28 years, separated for 15 months, now divorced for six months. There is another woman a couple weeks after our divorce was finalized he asked her to marry him. She’s 48 old . 10 years younger than my husband she has never been married and come to find out is an alcoholic. We have four children and our new grandbaby. I am devastated. I am the one filed for divorce being that he moved in with her. We moved from Minnesota to Fort Myers Florida, we own a business. Which she is clearly ruining for us. Financially! But I want my marriage I didn’t want to divorce. Do you think that his new marriage when and if he does get married which they’re planning on getting married in a year. I’ll survive? Also I am five years younger than my husband. And yes, I still call my husband because I believe God sees it that way still. I need your advice and some help.

    My wife and I have been married for 45 years now. As far as I know we are very happy if not financially sound my health is more of an issue the My wife, Diana's is, but neither of us is anywhere near what I would call very healthy. When we got married I was 19 almost 20 and my wife was one month shy of 18 and pregnant. We had to get juvenile court approval. We had so many people praying for us. Over the years our roles have totally reversed and reversed again. We know that we cannot take it for granted. So I watch such videos as yours to try and keep my self as attentive as I can be.

    When I hear/say "work on the marriage" my perspective of what that means/looks like is disgusting issues each person is struggling with together and individually and developing ourselves in those areas. What my 47 years has presented is that most people avoid this. Its easier to either ignore it, go find someone who is willing to live in the disfunction, or never commit.

    I do understand the "blind eye" and then the full circle back to the same place, nothing changes except empathy which seemed to be less and less with every full circle we took. I have spent a lot of time trying to fix him to be what I thought I needed. Now, I am becoming the best ME that I can bring to the WE. I have someone in my life who will tell me the truth and I have thrived because of that. I am focusing on me and that gives me great purpose and helps me to stop trying to control him to be what I think I need. I have been in church ministry for so long, more than half my life... I lost myself in serving, it gave me what I thought my marriage did not, and I gave way above and beyond what God was asking of me. This was my blind eye. Isn't that a paradox??

  • @1stOnlyGod
    @1stOnlyGod 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great Wisdom. Thank you! Make It Personal - Into The Deep… just reset a warning light on my car… yesterday… reset pushes back restoration further and further… until we just can’t go another mile… broken. We reset our marriage to put off the reality of truth, exchanging it for a reset worldly viewpoint… (a lie) which is much more comfortable and convenient than dealing with the real issues… been there and done this way too long… and now facing reality… like we know we need to exercise our body, but the pain of that first week… soreness, hurt… we want to avoid that.. our muscles are sore, but our marriage is on the way to newness, as we have “embraced the breakdown” genuine communion, a real fix, not a reset of the check engine light.

    You both inspire me so much! Courageously exploring the possibilities available when you break open ... my grandmother told me when I asked her how to get through the seemingly impossible times in marriage, she said rough times are just bumps in the road, sometimes you get knocked right off the wagon, but there are times God needs us to walk and there are times we have to walk alone and reconnect with our partner a little way down the road... there are times the wagon breaks and we have to make a new one...keep at it!
