6-28-15 Missouri Tornado Producing Storms
We began our chase near Hannibal, MO where we stayed on a tornado warned supercell for nearly an hour. During this time we experienced a long duration rotating wall cloud along with anticyclonic rotation and a brief funnel. We bailed on our original cell near Louisiana, MO and headed for a newly developing supercellcell near Bowling Green, MO. This ended up being the most prolific cell of the day, producing 3 confirmed tornadoes. The first two of which occurred very near Eolia, MO. We filmed the tornado crossing Highway 61 just NW of Eolia. The condensation funnel wasn't fully formed, however, we received ground truth from the vehicle a couple hundred yards in front of us that that a debris ball was indeed visible. The highest rated Eolia tornado was rated an EF-1. The second tornado we witnessed occurred in N St. Peters, MO and was rated an EF-2. This tornado destroyed a few outbuildings in addition to producing significant roof damage to a few houses. Video credit goes to: Greg Soliday, Billy Reed, and Ben Wolfe.

I am hunkered down in my "cabin" up north in Ironwood where we had 3-4 inches of snow this morning before a cold front swept in. I drove up to the peak at Indianhead this afternoon, hoping that THIS year (2021-22) will be normal snowfall, about 3X more than last season.

Seems like lately, every year almost, is a historic snowfall event for the U.P. I honor you hardy folk from the north....I could not live in those conditions. Northern Indiana is as harsh as I wish to see. Cheers!
