Stumbling on True Lion's Mane in Mid-November
I've found many types of Hericium this season, from Bear's Head Tooth, to Coral Tooth -- but no OG Lion's Mane. That is, until today! Check out this beautiful specimen, that's likely growing in a forest near you too!

My FIRST Steelhead Run (HUGE Trout!)

I nearly forgot about this footage from 2022, where I taught myself how to get at these spawning steelhead. I managed to get into a nice brownie and some solid wild steelhead... glad I remembered about it!

That pin so beautiful
Thank you!
That looks like a great fishing spot. Tiger trout are so pretty. I can’t wait to catch one. Keep at it 🎣
Catch one yet!?
Good for you but that was painful to watch.
First time using the pin, no kidding😂
@@BilboOutdoors Before I got into CPs most of my friends were already using them so I watched and learned before going all in. Pretty much all I use and also collect them.
@@Snatchez69 that’s the way to do it, it’s definitely a process. 🙏🏼
DEEP water float fishing is on at BRODERICK PARK BUFFALO!
You did great for your fist of many fish on a CP and float rod set up. This is by far the deadliest technique to take salmon and steelhead on any river. Friendly tip... Learn to use the bottom three fingers of your right hand to apply pressure to the fish by laying them down across the free-spooling side of the reel. Tight lines!
I now do that every time, great pro tip my friend
Other than ya showed a fav hole on the internet... Nice vid and congrats!
If you can identify the landmarks, then you already fish there. I don't see a problem.
@@mick8018 I see Know It All types arent limited to Fakebook... Wasn't a dis jackass. STFU
Not trying to be Mr. Know it all here but you seem new to steelhead fishing so I would just recommend that if you are releasing a fish, try to keep them in the water for as long as possible before releasing them. Good luck out there!
True, this fish turned out to be stocked, so I kept it. Tight lines!
@@BilboOutdoors right on!
#keepemwet
Heard that, this one went home.
Were you from keep it up I'm near the klamath in cali gotta run a pin
From the mitten, do it!
Haha fun to see the knuckle buster! Landed one first day on the pin that’s huge. You Only gotta use your left hand when reeling in or casting. Use your right pinky as a break/drag. Run your pointer finger up the rod and middle ring pinky under it. Most comfortable/controlling grip that I’ve found
I know that bridge! Awesome fish dude, I’m always fishing around there
I’m sure I’ll see you out there🤙🏼
Dude don’t hold the knobs when the fish are running, you bust up your fingers! Try putting pressure on the spool with your right middle finger when the fish is running. Tight lines!
or u can palm it with your left hand one or the other works!! nice set up tho!
Typing with purple knuckles haha, thanks for the advice!
hey i just saw your comment on the train my media buyer video saying that you landed a job. As an inspiring media buyer myself i would love to connect with you
Hey that’s awesome, watsup man
I love small stream fishing. Its probably my favorite to be honest. That looks like such a beautiful creek.
