LEGO Big Ben & Parlament (at night) by Gareth Ellis

Congratulations to Gareth Ellis for earning the “Best Architecture” award at Brick Rodeo 2024. His model of Big Ben was our official time keeper, as it chimed on the hour all day long every day. It was very helpful to us for knowing the actual time of the clock.

That's a really nice protective box you made 😅 This is such an insane project! The amount of tricky building techniques must have requred soo much trial and error. Also really cool that all the stickers are kept genuine Lego aswell. Not gonna lie, I kinda lost it at the tiny sticker inside the 1x1 clip at the front of the train, I mean I know you tried to make it as accurate as possible, but I wasn't expecting that 🤣 Congrats on such an amazing MOC and the mention from the Brick Train Awards too!
@@nkende thanks! It was a lonnnng journey, about 10 months or so. And for the sticker inside the clip, it probably took me about half an hour. 😅 The box with foam is the same stuff I used for packing the ATX Moonlight Tower, and is very good; I make every effort to keep traveling with MOCs as smooth as possible! Thanks for mentioning the BTA- that was so cool! Maybe next year i’ll bring home an award, but I’m just so excited from a mention for the stickers. Anyway, thanks for watching the video, i’m glad you like my V-60!
The set of wheels without flange shoulden't be at the center to avoid the loco being woobly on the tracks ?
@@arnaudlandry7370 if the flangeless driver were in the middle, the loco would be unable to navigate R40 track.
First!,
I think I missed the first video of this, but it looks good!
Thanks! I hope to soon post a summary video of the shunter, with like a recap, and also shots of it in the sunlight.
Yo this is beyond cool 😮
That’s easily a $1000 UCS set
Noice 👍
Absolutely brilliant...... And the brown brick doubles as explosive reactive armour!!!!! 😂😂😂
LOL thanks this made me laugh.
Gets my vote to become a set
oooh an SLS machine might be easier or resin printer
Man when this one came out my little kid mind was blown. All the moving parts and it was huge!!
Cool :D
His name being "Caleb Ricks" is awesome. Cale-bricks
Love this thing!
@@fletchingfreight thanks so much!
I didn't even know that existed

Get this man deal whit LEGO. We need this to be made into a lego set
Greenholt Corners
Lego today: Nooo prints are EXPONSIVE Lego back then: PRINTS NEEDS TO BE BEST QUALITY, YES we will print white tiles red instead of using red ones as well!
@@Lordodragonss yeah pretty much. 🤣
Could you make another video with a comparison to what you based it on? There a lot of "industrial printers"
This model was more an "average" of some of the printers I have seen at trade shows, school events, and online. The One from BigRep got me excited to see in person. It is huge! Here is a link. This is in no way sponsored or anything. bigrep.com/bigrep-one/
Honestly, the MTT racks for troops shoulda been like this in the movie
PLZ MAKE THIS A PRODUCT LEGO WE NEED AN NEW MTT
God damn good!! Bro made my fav vehicle 10 times better than legos

In the words of Terry McGinnis, “This is *Unbearably* cool!”

I wanted to do something similar since I was maybe 12. I wanted to build a radio controlled Zeppelin with a frame made out of drinking straws. I did the caculations for the weight and the amount of helium, I built parts of the straw skeleton for it, but I wasn't good with electronics back then. I got back to the project a few years ago and dealt with the electronics. I used arduino. I managed to build a prototype sender and receiver to control motors and servos wirelessly but then I faced problems that I didn't think I could solve and I haven't touched the project since. I don't know if I will ever continue to work on it, let alone finishing it and have a functional flying Zeppelin, but I'm glad that TH-cam recommended your video to me. I really hope you will succeed!
Thanks for sharing your story! I hope I can too, thanks. Perhaps one day you'll be able to finish the project and have a flying zeppelin of your own. :)
Im sure it was a real lego set.
It's looking good! Never knew they made those sensors for the NXT.
Lego needs to make some more Phantom Menace UCS sets
Yours is better than mine 😭😭😭
I’ve went to that place before and it’s so cool
You did good.
😂😂😂 hilarious
Super amazing. I'm very impressed by this MTT's functionality and details.
you know
I still have my tank although it has lost some parts through the years
need is this a set? lol
I wonder if you could use one of those big technic plates that came in the spike prime sets. They have a ton of holes. Might make mounting easier
Thanks for the idea. They are expensive, but I might be able to 3D print it.
Nice!
